Anyone? Anyone? I think it's a great series, but the ending was weird. It wasn't really much of an ending at all. I want to know what happens next! The Beatrice Letters was a huge tease, too. I really hope we get another series from Lemony Snicket. Or at least some kind of information book (like an encyclopedia or something) to help tie up all the loose ends and reveal some things from the past.
Like who Sunny was named after and why the Baudelaire parents... uh... did what they did... (if you know then you know, if not, it's a spoiler)... And more about the schism and VFD in general! Then again, maybe I'm just a big information nerd and no one else cares about this kind of stuff... Ooo! Maybe it could be the "Series of Unfortunate Events" book that was actually in The End! eek
Well, what about you?

Ha, I love that Series too, it says so on my profile... I really like Violet though... I thought that being a young inventor would be cool. Unfortunately, I was so obsessed with the book that I kept reading book after book, that when I finally got to the last book, like a chapter or two from the end, I just stopped..and still haven't picked up, b/c I am currently reading To Kill A Mockingbird... by Harper Lee, you know... Anyway, it was such an interesting and insightful series...I hope to finish it after my other book. What really was of interest to me was the ending, how I always wasn't satisfied, waiting for a happy one... and story that revealed all the secrets. Boy, he was good at leaving the reader in suspense. My favorite book might have to be number 10 or 12... I liked a lot of the later ones, b/c they were more complex...

Ah, my favorite is probably either The Hostile Hospital or The Austere Academy. I tend to waver back and forth between those two. All the rest tie in second place, though, heheh. My favorite character is Klaus. I didn't have a favorite until The Miserable Mill. A lot of people don't seem to like that one, but I thought it was good. Anyway, for some reason, I just started liking Klaus the best at that point. I'm not really sure why.
I really like the way his character was developed through the series. Such as him remembering that it was his birthday while the three were in prison in The Vile Village. And the way he was put in such a terrible position in The Hostile Hospital. I suppose he's my favorite because he's the brother, and I'm a brother, too. So I could relate to him in that way.
I stopped hoping for a happy ending somewhere around the fourth or fifth book. I was even hesitant to expect one at the very end of the series. All I really want now is to know the story of the old VFD. More than The Unauthorized Autobiography gave us. It's just so frustrating not knowing... Only having little bits of information to taunt the mind... It's almost maddening. burning_eyes

Yay for Lemony! I love Sunny. She's such a great character and she's only like, two! My little cousin, Presley reminds me of Sunny. She likes to pretend to cook. I keep thinking to myself, I wonder if she consideres herself a young girl yet? Heheh. Klaus is adorable, too. Violet kind of annoys me, though. Mostly because she's two-timing Duncan with Quigley. xp
My favorite books are The Wide Window (I love Aunt Josephine xd ), The Ersatz Elevator, and The Penultimate Peril. The End dissapointed me, too. I was expecting it to... you know... END. As in, tie up the loose ends, explain the mysteries... do all the things and ending is supposed to do. Ah well.

You know, I just started thinking about Carmelita Spatz. I have no idea why, but she kinda always bugged me. What a strange kid...

Well, I doubt she was meant to be a likable character... What do you mean by "bugged"? She was certainly irritating... I do wonder about her parents, though.

I think out of all the books in the series number 4 was the most unbelieveable. I really can't see Olaf dressed as a woman. xp
