.:: Group Projects! ::.

Looking at Aurah's prompt thread has given me an idea for something that could be fun, interesting, help to get to know each other better (might as well, since we're so few... ^^) and increase the number of submissions for the guild. 4-in-1!

Members would form groups of two or three and each of those groups would select one theme from Aurah's thread or come up with an idea from their own head (rhyme bonus! *glint*). After that, let imagination run its course in the art-form of your preference.

If one member of the group happens to be strong in writing, while the others on illustrating, make a small comic strip, for example. Or one member could be in charge of doing line art, while the others coloured and made the background. Or if writing is everyone's forte, do a short story or novelette... The sky's the limit! ^^

I've done some co-authoring in the past and, from my experience, it's great fun to see what your partner comes up with. Not to mention that it's very interesting to mingle different styles and exchange notes on how to do this or that... AND you get to do something you wouldn't be able do to if you were on your own! All pluses.

So, if you're interested, sign up on this thread! Please tell us a little about yourself, so as to make it easier to find a partner that's on the same wave-length as you.

If you're not interested, well, you're always welcome to stop by and just chat too!

Setting the example...:

I would like to do something related to drawing, preferably a small comic. I favour action or humour genres, and I'm fairly reasonable with line art and colouring on Photoshop. Run some ideas by me and don't be too surprised if you can get me to do something totally different from what I just said. ^^

I'm pretty good at lineart and stories (writing, as many of you know, is my passion, and manga is my hobby) but I have a little trouble with applying screen tones and tracing hand-done lineart with digital ink, even though I have a Wacom tablet.

I was hoping to do a short (maybe 10-page) philosophical manga on the topic "makeup". It'll have a little romance, and I think that I'll make it in Naruto-verse as a SasukexSakura story (pre-timeskip).

Basically, I need someone able to do screentones well (ideally professional manga-quality). Any takers? If you want to take me up on the offer but don't have any screentones, you can find many excellent digital screentones at www.screentones.deviantart.com.

I use Photoshop Elements 4.0, in case you're wondering.

PS. Great idea, Cyn!

I'm glad you liked the idea! ^^

If more people participate, I'll revamp the first post with a list of formed groups and candidates to make it easier to find a partner - for now, I just added a link to the prompts thread.

I'd have loved to help you with that doujin but, ugh, screentones... if you want an extra pair of hands with lineart or story, though, you know where to find me! ninja

Sweet! If the proper inspiration hits me, I just might take you up on that! ^_^
