This was just a random thought that kept in the back of my mind for some time. So I decided just to throw it out here, see who likes it or who actually considers it as a fun idea..
How many of you out there have cameras that could record you singing? Or simply any way to record your voice or a video? And how many of you love to sing?
I'm asking for you make a recording of your voice singing a Phantom of the Opera song of your choice! No, you don't have to be talented, practiced, or have any sort of voice lessons under your belt. Just sing and have fun with it! This isn't to showcase talent, it's to have fun and get grins out of hearing fellow Phans in our guild sing.
And of course, if anyone insults or laughs at another person's voice, you'll get instantly kicked from the guild. If the person specifically says "criticism is appreciated", however, you may add in your constructive criticism.
.. .. And by the way. Constructive criticism is NOT: "Lol u suk"
So. Good idea or bad idea? Maybe awards could be given out and it could become a contest or just a random offering.

I sing on the Internet all the time. I have yet to do some Phantom, though. All I have up now are On My Own from Les Miserables (before I started voice lessons) and O Mio Babbino Caro by Puccini (and the audio is horrible X_x).
This sounds fun, though! I'll participate in it if it becomes an actual "thing".

If I can get my video camera to work...I'll sing wandering child...eriks part, because i suck at christine's...too high for my vocal range.

If I ever find a way to put my voice on gaia, I will do this but I only have my cell phone and I really don't know if that will work. But heck yes I will.

I may submit something tomorrow! smile I may do Think of Me, or just part of some song. People tell me I am good at PONR, but I doubt you want to hear a 14 year old sing that. XD

I would totally do it, if someone started it. I've heard I could be the replica of Christine sometimes, but recording myself is different than in reality

id love to do it, wheither or not anyone wants to hear my voice. the only thing i have a question about is how we would download the song to the internet, after getting it on the computer? i know id need help w/ how to do that!

Well, my friends have been bugging me about putting it up (they also love Phantom), so I have put a version of "Think of Me" up for viewing. I also have some other songs up as well. Account Name: HarmonicSoulActual Clip: Think of MeAs mentioned in the description, I messed up the lyrics at the end. That always seems to happen when I put myself in front of a camera (but, oddly enough, not a live audience). My candanza is horrible, I know, because I usually do not do well with it when I am backed by a piano. My microphone is not that great, so my apologies. Please enjoy! smile To be edited.

Yours was really good, but you are right about the cadenza. No offense. I'm uploading mine to youtube. In my defense, I would like to say I haven't sung in front of a camera alone in years, and being in a dorm, EVERYBODY hears you. Makes me nervous. Also, it's been a while since I had a voice lesson. The cobwebs are getting on my nerves.
