Medal of Honor: 2525 A.D.
Introduction
The Officer of Secret Service has been re-instated as a branch of the Planetary Defense Commission. The world united into what is now known as the United Civilized Nations Coalition. The UCNC's key states that provide the financial resources as well as the raw material for supplying the Expeditionary forces are the United States of America, the people's republic of China, Russia, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan. In the late 23rd Century, two alien ships crashed into the United Kingdom and their occupants warned the people of Earth that a more advanced race was in search of them (for they were refugees), and that for harboring them; they would attack Earth and enslave its people.
This startled the world leaders, as ten years before; reconnaissance units from that race landed undetected outside Berlin, Germany. The German's dispatched GSG-9 with the support of SEAL Team 6 to respond to the invasion; over 50 commandos and special operation forces were killed in the attempt to contain merely 10 aliens. This was an eye opener to the nations. The positive result from the encounter was a reformation in the tactics and strategies as well as HUGE advances in the technologies they had been using. They began developing advanced space flight, lasers, and accomplishing other feats that were deemed "Science Fiction" at the time they were initially conceived.
Fifteen years later from that incident, the first alien race came in contact again with Earth, this time in Washington D.C.. They came peacefully and with intent on diplomatic relations. They physically were the same height as the humans, and even had the "humanoid" figure to their general appearance. Unlike humans, they had a more elven appearance, even to the extent of having very elongated ears. They approached the UCNC Council wearing simple yet lavish appearing robes and tunics. They had various shimmering jewels in their long hair. When their leader spoke, all the leaders of the free world were entranced as he spoke of prosperity and how their race was looking to contact other races in order to create brother-like pacts and alliances. They called themselves the Zel'unn. (seehl-oon). They proposed an alliance in order to defeat a menacing race they had come to call the Xef-den. (zeef-deen) According to their leader, the Xef-den is a race of imperialistic slavers who drive the race toward conquering other worlds and enslaving their peoples.
In order to prevent a governmental decapitation by elements of the Xef regime, the U.S. government repositioned the leaders of the Zel'unn race at five major cities, each located within close proximity to a military estabilishment and fallout shelter. One was sent to College Station, Texas. The others were sent to San Diego-California, Annapolis-Maryland , Charleston-South Carolina, and Dallas-Texas.
One week from that meeting, mercenaries from the Xef-den landed outside College Station, Texas. Undetected at first, they tried to assassinate the ambassadors to the Zel'unn race. However, Marine officer candidates involved with the "Pre-Bulldog" training at the Texas A&M University Midshipman Battalion (as well as their military instructors and advisors) discovered the craft. They were coming back from morning training when they fell upon this alien vessel. Being that they were highly informed of the current events, they took the ship by force and defended it from the mercenaries. Marines stationed nearby took over and allowed the candidates to return to the academy, with great accolades from the President and the leaders of the UCNC. The mercenaries were caught attempting to gain access to the underground bunker where the ambassador was being housed. The Marines that were guarding the bunker resulted in killing 2 of the aliens, severely injuring 3 other and capturing them after an intense firefight. This was a great feat for the forces of Earth.
The Xef forces that were captured were reptilian appearing creatures with a resemblance to the Terrestrial cobra. However one of the others was a humanoid appearing figure that had similar traits to an ape. This leads to suggest that the Xef may hire mercenaries to carry out their dirty work. The prisoners were studied immensely until they killed themselves by biting each and poisoning each other with poisons.
This further drove the Zel's points. One week later from that incident, the civilized nations of the world united in the effort to end the petty problems between the religions and races, as well as the various hunger and overpopulation problems. They began constructing a large space station known as the Frontier I. This space station was to be a jump point for five major outposts on the way to the Zel home world (which at the time was a gigantic space station). In order to secure an outpost for the large station, the forces of Earth had to claim Mars as their own. Satellites have shown that the Xef forces have already established a warp gate on the barren planet and have began a military buildup to invade Earth.
The combined forces of the human race are now carrying out covert operations in an effort to weaken the large force and learn more about it's newest and certainly most deadly opponent it has faced yet.
