The ship descended smoothly into the city Laurel. Ophelia had gotten a name this time on the little screen and was in a relatively good mood, despite having Kira and Shiro aboard. Calla checked her many pockets to make sure she had everything before they actually landed. "Ready, you two?"

"Excellent!" Calla cheerfully moved down to the cargo bay, opening the hatch to exit. Ophelia was out there first, of course, checking out the area. The landing site was busy, but hardly anyone took notice of Kiah Come taking another spot.

As the four exited the ship, Ophelia stopped dead in her tracks. Calla nearly ran into her, but paused. "What is it?"

The Hakon held out her screen. Calla frowned. "Alright. Hank better not make us go too far, though." She looked over her shoulder at the ship with apprehension, but quickly covered with a smile towards Shiro and Kira. "Guess we're hiking a bit further than I'd planned. Hope you don't mind the walk."

Calla brushed her hair out of her eyes as she had hundreds of times before. "This way!" Her tone had a sugary sweet cheer to it that either endeared her to customers or made them vomit, or so her father repeatedly said.

Ophelia was the one to actually lead the way. Angels, demons and primarily offworlders could be spotted regularly. Honestly, it was hard to tell sometimes who was who. Ophelia checked the screen regularly, marching at a steady clip.

As they wove through trees along an earthen footpath, Calla began to hum lightly. It was a cheerful march of no particular tune- most likely made up on the spot. She stopped suddenly, though still apparently in an exuberent mood. "So, not all Azel's like this. It's all beautiful, don't get me wrong- both sides." A small, conspiring grin to Kira. "You wouldn't think so, but the lands of Lucifer have their own brooding appeal." A moment later, the grin was replaced by her normal closed lip smile. "Anyway, I don't think Hank would want us to go meet ...'Phelia, what's that guy's name again?"

The Hakon didn't miss a beat. "Allumette." She was a good ten feet ahead of the rest and didn't even turn her head to respond.

"That's it! Allumette...sounds like a girl, but you never know." Calla shrugged, but hesitated mid-motion- a man had stopped to watch them pass.

(^^; I don't particularly have anything planned so you're free to make him say/do something if you like. Otherwise, I'll think of something, heh.)

Calla only had a trace of her original smile. Just an upward turn at the corner of her lips. Ophelia had stopped almost the same time Calla did and turned. Her emerald eyes were hard, and fixed on the man for an instant. However, she whirled around as movement caught her eye. Another man, accompanied by a woman this time. The man had a jagged scar that slashed through his ruined left eye. He merely smirked, but the woman positively beamed. She was muscular, and had her eyes on the Hakon.

Calla shifted uncomfortably, forcing her voice to remain positive. "Can I help y'all?"

The three made no response, but moved in closer slowly. Calla really didn't want to have to kill these people, but Ophelia snarled. She was only in human form still because Calla had not been directly threatened.

The demon with the scar chuckled. "Easy goes, love. We're not gonna hurt you." His beady eyes glittered greedily. "Just hand over what you've got, and you'll walk away without a scratch."

Calla hesitated. "You might want to watch your wording, mister. Ophelia doesn't take to strangers. Especially ones with guns."

The woman laughed. "Oh, we know all about her kind, kiddo." Her amusement hardened into a terrible grin. "Now, no more delay. Drop the goods, girls."

Calla tensed as Kira responded. This could get ugly...the first man hefted a large gun, grinning confidently. He took a step towards Calla.

The Hakon had not spoken, but her instinct kicked in. They were threatening Calla, and therefore threatening her. In a blur, Ophelia had reverted to her true form and leapt at the fanged demon. They tumbled back before Calla had time to truly react.

The female and one-eyed demon, oddly enough, leveled their guns only at Kira. Calla pulled her own gun, racing to one side to get cover.

The demon dealing with Ophelia grunted as she ripped into his flesh with her clawed fingers and toes. However, he got the upper hand when a tongue of flame shot from his gun. Both Calla and Ophelia screamed simultaneously in pain and fear.

Both the pilot and the Hakon were slightly stunned that they hadn't been burned, though the heat had startled them both. Ophelia recovered quickly, however, and hissed at the demon with the flamethrower. He was furious at being blocked, and leapt to his feet to barage the Hakon again. This time she was ready, though. Her prehensile tail wrapped around the barrel of the weapon and yanked it out of his grip. In the same spin, she turned 360 and used the momentum to crack the heavy flamethrower against his skull.

Calla remained where she was, holding her gun but afraid to shoot. Truth was, she couldn't hit much of anything. The gun was more for show than actual fighting. Ophelia was the one to end...unplesant situations, in most cases. Feeling rather useless and still a bit flustered from the flame, the pilot merely held her position behind a tree and hoped that they wouldn't get too close.
