This is where I am going to vent until the Gaia admin rechecks their accusation and retracts the banning of my account. I am still mad. Here's the story for those of you who have no idea what I am talking about.
Last week, I tried to access my other account. I was told that it had been banned. When I emailed them to find out why, they told me I had been accused of botting. I never even knew such a thing existed.
Apparently botting is some kind of computer program that will surf the web for you and earn you gold without you having to be at the computer. I am furious that I was accused of this. I repiled to their accusation, but I have not heard back from since. I emailed them again 2 days ago, but still no response. They either are taking forever to review their proof, if they have any, or they are ignoring me. Either way I don't plan to let this slide until I get the answers I am looking for.
I was also told that I could have traded or bought something from someone else that was acquired through botting. Even if I had no idea that was the case I am still being blamed for this. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

GAIA administrators and moderators live in their own little world. I have also heard that you could be banned for trading for botted gold even though you are completely innocent. This is asinine!
As I told one moderator, they are such sticklers for such major faux pas as posting a message in the incorrect forum (you will receive a stern e-mail delivered to 10 year olds everywhere.), and these botting connections which loosely associate you with criminal minds that you have no idea how to check.
But they turn a blind eye to some of the filthiest posts, talk, pictures etc.. alledging that this is a PG-13 site. Teeny boppers using language that is offensive, course and reprehensible yet you can find it night after night in just about any forum.
I have come to a realization about this site. Enjoy it while you can and hope that nothing happens to your inventory, gold or account because you will find little sympathy from the powers that be.

I think I am realizing that, but I can't just sit here and be accused of something I didn't do!!! I'll keep emailing them or send them letters until I get the answers I seek

My son was hacked in Aug of 06. he still has not heard from them.But the good news is that a friend of mine was banned for the same thing and she got her account back.but it took over 9 months.

Right this reall sucks for you..administrators are like any management..they say their going to do something and then don't.
Its easier to pas it off on some flunky and let them deal withit.
I'm behind you..I agree I'd be really pissed as well if it was me.

One thing I have learned about forums at Gaia is to always copy your message before trying to submit a post. This place is the King of malfunctions!
Anyways, try again moma.. patience is a great virtue. biggrin
