I already mentioned this on another thread but since I can't remember which one, I'll just tell you: Mytrhil weapons can be obtained only at the end of random battles. You have to be very lucky to get one of those. I had a pretty good idea for getting them a while back. If you want I can come back and post about it later.

They can be obtained by either: 1. Hypnocrown's long and tedious route that will drive you to insanity, or 2. link with friend(s) and do the link missions to obtain trade goods in the store. 2 is the better choice, but requires 2 people, so 1 is the only route a soloer can take.

Insanity you say? Ha-ha! Good one... That's the only way I can get any of those weapons cuz I have nobody to trade stuff with. But like FFgeek454 says, it's also a good way to stuck up on both experience and Ability Points so, you might want to give this idea of mine a shot. And to make things easier, I'm gonna quote myself. hypnocrown BTW, a good tip to get a Mythril weapon would be this: If you see a random clan you can beat easy, like the cyril band for example (those guys are a piece of cake), just put 2 or 3 units who can use totema (HP damage of course) attacks and beat them easy. After the battle ends, check what prize you get and if you didn't get an M. type weapon or something great, then re-start and battle them again. Easy! Just be sure to save right before you face them, but I bet you already know that... mrgreen

Try playing for 500 hours, that should be enough, he-he.
Seriously, that's how long I had in my file before I realized I had gotten every single Mythril weapon in the game. But alas, most of my characters could not get every job maxed out cuz of the Materia blade or the Zeus mace. I'm not gonna miss them this time! You know, with the tip I gave you, you may not have to wait around as long. But that's my guess... rolleyes

They vary from weapon to weapon but, one thing that always stays consistent is the fact that a Mythril weapon increases yer jumping ability by one. I'm not sure if there's something else though...

Hmm. I find them weak. They do about 100 dmg, but they're not that impressive. I want them just for the combo abilities.
