UPDATIUM! I made a new one, its nes style PS. Im getting the NES style ones from the 1988 taito game based on the movie. Im changing the old one in my sig to this one (Smaller) Hope you like it!

Images come from both the anime and the manga, from some nice, hi-res images I both found and made. And you know? It took a really long time to get some of these pictures. There are, count'em, 20. 'Cause, you know, it's kinda hard to sum up the glory of Akira in such a small button. (If you're going to use any, please upload onto your own servers. Does anyone care for more/larger images/whatever? I don't know about requests, but I can try sweatdrop )

The most time-consuming part is actually just finding the right pictures - you need to know where to look on the web. For example, while BB Akira has a lot of screenshots, they aren't high-resolution or large in size, so none of them were used. Any scenes from the begining of the movie, I capped myself. There were more, but they were outed because either the layout was too busy, the text had no where to go or didn't stand out enough amongst the images. Yeah, I used Silkscreen font as well 3nodding Sorry, Nocheboy - I couldn't help myself. Glad you like them, though.

I dunno, But I have not seen it in the anime to the best of my knowledge.

I talked to Neo, she says she's looking into it. (It deserves to be stickied, as a banner is something that every member should have on..) It's true that in the anime the pills, apart from the one on Kaneda's jacket, didn't have a very heavy influence on the plot. The manga, however, is different of course, and they play a very central role in what's going on with Tetsuo's powers. The image is one of them coloured manga pieces. I believe from the Marvel/Epic publication of the manga? They had coloured images from the Akira Club on their covers/inners at times. I certainly didn't go off on a length to draw all them narcotics. That's insanity only Otomo does. biggrin

Marvel/epic decided to colour the entire thing, and flip it so it's read right to left. I have, like, one issue of that. Man, the colours can get really psychedelic. TETSUO'S GREEEEEN! Hahaha, it's so crazy. (It's done pretty damn well, though. I could just pinch Kaori's face.. and Tetsuo's crazy mutating arm.) Also, unless I'm mistaken, Otomo... changed a few of the pages? Don't quote me on this, I think it was mentioned in the Akira FAQ, but I'll need to read it again to remember.
