Don't you think that the people who make action games such as Devil May Cry and Halo should put people who have awesome music such as Korn and Slipknot on their games? Personally I would have liked to heard "Wait and Bleed" by Slipknot on Devil May Cry 3 because it would have fit. List any game and any band/song you wanted to hear on it.

Personally when it comes to Halo1 and 2 (which i play probably way too often) the music really sets the mood whereas if i was to have a song with lyrics or a track i knew in the background i would be distracted from kicking covenant a**. Also there would be disagreements when it comes to what music to put on for example a chav would say that club music would be suited to a game whereas others would say a nice bit of death metal would suit the scene

think about it practically named music from named bands costs game developers money so therefore they would charge even more for games

That is true but you know some of the music on some games stink badly. I mean the Halo music is awesome but I mean they put Breaking Benjamin on Halo2 i mean why cant they try someone like Korn or Slipknot or one of the other bands too? I mean they can at least put one band on the game.

The Breaking Benjamin song was commissioned, and it's a bit more techno and the lyrics are more suited to the mood of the game. I really can't imagine People=**** or Twist on Halo or Halo 2. Developers use sort of neutral music that won't offend many people, Korn and Slipknot are despised bands, less people will play the games if they think the music is ****. Plus there is the money factor as well.

Summing it up, good music is a matter of opinion, loading a game with Nu-metal tracks would make a lot of people frown and stop playing the game.

Alright I understand Halo and Halo 2 since alot of different types of people play it who listen to different music but what about games like Devil May Cry? I mean that game is basically a game that should have metal on it. I mean it is a dark, fast pace game based on killing demons. I mean at least put Demon Hunter on there. It would fit.

there are some games like Halo or FF that wouldn't go very good with actual songs from bands but as you say games like Devil May Cry would fit with these type of songs but there is the money issue but if i were to put a bands song on a game i would probably go with the DMC series with A7X's Bat Country or Beast and the Harlot

I think that some bands would love to have like a song on a game because 1) that would give them even more fans 2) if it was a good song people would go out and buy the CD the song is on. I mean just think about it. The game would just be the appitizer
