Discuss your favorite Black Metal bands here.
Me: Venom, Opeth, Dragonlord, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Bathory.
For the record, I don't like the whole Satanist part of Black Metal, but none of them were really Satanist, they just did it to sell records. (and for those of you who believe Black Metal is the most satanist, a lot of Hair Metal bands put backwards masking in their songs, like Styx, whose name is based on the Greek Mythology of the river in Hades, and Maiden poked fun at this in the song "Still Life".

i don't like many black metal..
but the olg german band: agesgone with the song called "1"
is one of the best thing i ever heard.

I like Black Metal, it is really cool, I don't mind the singing, it's actually kinda cool...

i have 2 albums of cradle of filth. some songs i really like. (like the iron maiden covers).
but there are some songs i don't get it to for some reason.

Ooh! I need that then. HBTN is my favorite Maiden song. When I heard it live I was so excited. I loved it on the album and live. And the CoF cover is really good too. It's very different.

Also, Cradle of Filth is Black Metal with gothic influences, though it is a more "Pop" Black Metal, it is still Black Metal. Also, Viking Metal isn't even a subgenre, it's a description. It means Folk Metal with Black Metal. And Bathory, along with Venom, invented the friggen' genre. Dimmu Borgir is Black Metal. No argument on that.
