The room was huge, almost like a hollowed out house, it's ceilings towering far higher than most cathedrals, the room wide enough to house two football fields and long enough for three. On one end of the room were two huge doors, both of which opened inward. They were ornately carved, designs of an archaic nature gracing their stone. On the other end, directly opposite the doors, was a tall staircase, leading to a platform. The platform stuck out at least twenty feet into the room, and was around thirty feet high. In the center of the platform sat a throne, a great stone monstrosity that sat eight feet tall at the back and six feet wide, each arm encompassing two feet of space.
The walls went up for an easy 100 feet before beginning to slope into a dome. The dome was latticed with the archaic designs so prominent on the doors, all of which intertwined in the center. On the floor of the room were seats, set up much like a stadium of some sort, curving around the throne platform, going higher into the air as they got further away. In the center of these seats, there was a twenty foot wide path, leading from the doors to platform, as though inviting anyone dumb enough to try to go to the person who would normally occupy the throne.
Slowly, the room was filling, black shapes of varying size and form using various forms of transport to enter through side doors and windows. The seats quickly filled, though there was no apparent reason as to why they were doing so. The doors began to open, slowly, and all movement stopped as the figures turned to face their new arrival.
In the door stood three figures. The one on the left, tall and lanky, held a perpetual smile. The one on the right wore wraparound glasses. The one in the middle was also tall, almost dignified. It was that one who spoke.
"Welcome, my pets. Soon, we shall begin."

A loud voice echoed out from the front, powerful, deep, and rather angry. There was no obvious source of the sound, as the creature making it had not moved. "Who the hell are you calling pets?!"
The dignified one laughed and starting stepping forward, the other two keeping pace. Their steps echoed through the now silent chamber, reverberating off of its great stone walls. Their movements were followed by every pair of eyes in the room, traced as soon as they came into view.
"Now, now, my dear Grimmjaw. I'm afraid that not everyone present is on the same level as you and your fellow Espada."
A humanoid figure stood, a hole clearly showing in its abdominal region. It turned, its face slowly making its way into the light. The hair was blue-green, almost teal, nearly 4 inches long and straight up, conforming to the curves of the creatures head. The right side of his (for the figured was definitely male) face was obscured by a half-mask, a white object that appeared almost as if it were an additional set of teeth on the outside of his face. "Then perhaps we should not be addressed with those weaker than us. They are unnecessary."
Many of those erupted in outcries of disagreement, clearly insulted. The dignified one simply turned to address everyone as he reached the bottom of the platform. "Come now, calm down. Grimmjaw is arrogant and does not much care for those weaker than himself, that is all. His statements do not reflect my own, but I will not hold him to keep them to himself either." He glanced at Grimmjaw. "But remember that there is always someone stronger amongst you, and the fight is not usually worth it."
The dignified one made his way up the stairs to the throne, the dark-skinned one and the grinning one standing at the bottom of the platform, surveying the room. It seemed as the the dark-skinned one way watching Grimmjaw carefully, as though afraid he might try something crazy.
The dignified one spoke. "I believe it may be time for some of us to find our way to the mortal world."
