As a member of this guild, I've been taking it upon myself to report misplaced threads and spam. This brings me to the question of how to phrase my reports and how much information to give.
Imagine you are in a serious ED thread, and some n00b comes in...

hi guys, i like pizza
What would you say after hitting the "report this post" button?

I'm not sure, I usually write something like:
"This post doesn't contribute to the conversation at hand. It has nothing to do with the orginal topic or the topics currently being discussed and should be removed from the discussion."
I could be going about it incorrectly though. sweatdrop
Also, depending on whether or not the person posting is really a newbie or a troll, sometimes I pm them and explain that while I'm thrilled they have decided to come and check out the ED, I would be more thrilled if they could please make sure their posts belonged in this forum/thread. Then I go on to site more appropriate places for chatter along as well as contrasting that with the sort of posts that belong in the ED. But that's just me. Sometimes I get thank yous, sometimes I get annoyed responses, usually I don't get anything in response to these pms though. So meh. Maybe they are a waste of time, I don't really know.
Please state your reasons for reporting the thread in the comment box provided.

So, are you all sure that "spam" is enough?

I just write "Spam in ED, please move to CB. Thank you for your time."
That's all that needs to be done, really. I like to thank the mod, so that they feel appreciated and are more likely to comply with my request. It helps to be polite 3nodding
