Tell me what you are playing and what equipment you have.
Also: discuss what others are playing, but be mature. don't say that someone's drumkid is *** without giving good arguments.

I just started palying electric guitar.
I have a simple Silvertone Revolver SS11, wich is a fine starter i gues. And a Fender Frondman 15G amp. And some very stupid low budget guitar cables wich i'm going to throw away for better ones this week (i hope).

Pocket amp, pretty cool. about 50 picks.

number_17 nice stuff smile but you can't play anymore in hong kong? Well, not with my own stuff.. confused But like I mentioned in that other thread, my building has a music room with an edrumkit that I can use for trigger recording now! I even brought my MIDI-to-USB converter with me so the only thing I need with me is a laptop when I go playing the drums. whee Below a picture of my drumkit from top and some of the mics can be seen as well. Missing a few cymbals but there's plenty to show in the pic so doesn't matter. :XP:

number_17 do you have to turn 180 to hit the other side of the drumkit? or do you have really long arms razz i always thought you were using a dubble bass in crimson lotus sweatdrop i gues i'm not that good in guessing xp I have a double-pedal, as you can see in the pic. I never really wanted a doublebass because it takes more room and doesn't really bring much added value. Besides, I save in drumhead costs. xd And I arranged the drumset so that I don't need to swing around the chair much, hence the 14" tom is on the left-hand side (which allows a lot of nice effects while playing as well). The drumset itself is quite crappy. I'd like to work around with a drum-rack rather than individual stands, and Pearl Export is pretty much the cheapest you can go with branded drums. Once I move back to Finland, I need to see about buying a completely new, kick-a**, drumkit. whee

number_17 i hope you earn much money then 3nodding sorry i didn't noticed the second pendal sweatdrop Well, can't really say I earn too much.. but maybe with time I can save up a sum. wink And doublepedal is a concept not many even know about.. many people think the only way to get a double bass effect is with two bassdrums. smile Oh, just in case there's still someone who's new to instruments and stuff and doesn't know much of where and how to get them - except the local store.. Thomann is a VERY good online store for all kinds of stuff and is really reliable! The prices are good and so is the service. I've bought a lot of stuff there and never had any problems. Plus they have a really good and up-to-date online catalogue.

that site looks very nice smile (to bad it isn't in dutch, but thats not a real problem) maybe i'm going to use it someday, but i heared something: "don't buy a guitar/other instrument, you haven't hold in your own hands" you never know what you get.
but i was in need for some cables, and anything is better then those cables i now have xd

It really is better buy things you've seen yourself and know its good. I'd say Thomann can be used in a case when you're buying stuff that you *know* is good. I have a few friends who've bought guitars from there but they really knew before-hand the brand and the series. wink Also, if buying stuff like effect pads or stands, or whatever. I bough my edrum-kit from there and a lot of microphones, cables, stands and cymbals too. I will, probably, end up buying my future drumkit from there too, because they can provide it so much cheaper than any retailer iin Finland. whee
