Ok, I'm a student and a artist/programmer and I will make sure to always copyright my work and sue those whom use it with out my permission. That said, I'm also a starvin' college student and I don't know about the rest of you but I don't have 8,000$ to buy Maya and I certinly don't have the time (or patcince) to learn Blender.
The government trys to say piracy hurts the economy but that is a @#$in;g lie, and before you retaliate, listen. Have you ever seen a rich pirate? Have you ever seen anyone pirate something they could actually afford? The way I see it pirates spend all the money they have on food and housing (and if they have children, then dipers too). That's right folks piracy doesn't hurt the government because all the pirate's loot goes to feeding babies; piracy feeds babies biggrin . I'll agree somewhat that it hurs specific areas of industry but i'm not going to pay 50$ bucks for that game anyway, and if it comes down to it i'll listen to the radio over payin' 20$ for a damn CD. So, there it is PIRACY FEEDS BABIES.
Now... ... .. .. . . Dibate!!!

Nah, it's still stealing. What bugs me that the only thing about stealing that the government is concerned about is that it's against the law.
