Here are some small things you can do while sedentary (not moving or doing much) that will still keep you slightly active.
Sit on a big exercise ball while on the computer, playing a game or watching TV instead of sitting on the couch or a chair. This strengthens your back and abdominal muscles because you're constantly working to keep yourself upright.
Get some ankle or wrist weights and do leg raises or preacher curls while sitting.
Get up and stretch every half hour, maybe take a quick walk around the house- just to get your body moving a little.
If you have any more ideas and techniques, post em here biggrin

When I am at work I do some small stuff to keep me active:
While in a chair or standing, place your palms directly in front of you to a wall. Put all your weight onto your arms and do pushups against the wall using yourself as a resistance. To this in reps to start feeling the workout.
While sitting, tighten your stomach and slowly bend down as far as you can to touch your toes. Hold for ten seconds then rise slowly. Do this in reps to work stomach and thigh muscles.
While in a chair, keep the bottom half of yourself still and twist your torso side to side, keeping your palms on your hips. This loosens the back and gets the hips working.
Hope this helps. blaugh

at home, i walk around the room, and count my steps, usually 2.000 steps equal a mile, and i have actually lost weight this way.. (you might keep in mind that a larger room would be nicer to do this in then a tiny one)

Before going through your food and grabbing some unhealthy snack, do around 10-50 sit-ups or push-ups to keep you on track with your healthy side. blaugh
