Alright, let me start things off with a few cosplays that I find to be amazing.
These people have earned my respect as a cosplayer. Have a look! (Sorry if some of the pictures are a bit big)

An amazing cosplay of Soubi from Loveless.

Mad Hatter and Kurai! This is probably the best Hatter cosplay I've seen. o.o

Mikami and Light from Death Note! This is the first really good Mikami cosplay that I've seen. The guy's not a very popular character so it's nice to see someone giving him some spotlight.

Here we have Kaname from Vampire Knight. I've always liked the Night School uniforms more and this one has amazing details!

Here we have Rosiel and Katan from Angel Sanctuary! I love how this picture looks, simply beautiful setting. And the Katan here is just heart

Definately one of the best Sephiroths I've ever seen! The face always reminds me of the singer, Gackt.

Well to me it kinda depends. If it turns out good, then it's good. If they're really weird like this one guy at Oni-Con 2006 who wore nothing but some weird black thing and a really tight leather short that is about a foot long, then yes, that's weird to me.

I agree, i was a little weirded out a first, but i've learned that it's not THAT strange, i mean, look at my avi (Even though that was an accident). But, really, if they pull it off, than it's cool, but if they cant make it work, and it looks weird, then thats just stupid. you dont crossplay for the sake of crossplaying. Cheers!

From the pictures that I've seen, I find that a lof of the times a girl would pull off crossplaying than a guy. I mean, I'm not sexist or anything but I have noticed it a lot. o.o Also there's a much larger ratio of girl crossplayers to guy crossplayers.

I think its easier for girls to crossplay because its just so much easier. All we have to do is bind our chest and when it comes to the shaving part, we already do that lol. For guys... working with your um, stuff, and then doing your arms, legs, armpits, happy trails if your doin skimpy outfits, facial hair, and THEN trying to pull off a girly face is so much more work.

Many anime guys ususally tend to have softer faces than a RL guy would so only the really pretty boys could pull them off. You'd have to pick strong lookin girls for a guy to crossplay effectively.

Not to mention having to create the illusion of "curves". It's hard for guys since women have such wide hips and slim waists. If you're anything but skinny, you won't be able to recreate that without looking overweight.

Oooh yeah, aint that the truth lol its so much easier to create the illusion of lotta weight n buffness than to make some curves lol. Corsets are your friend XD

That's a good point, corsets can probably help create curves. I just wonder if it'll poke out from underneath the costume if they wear it.

Corsets are also very painful....Dont wear them for too long!!!!

Yes... yes they are. I don't mind corsets XD Just try not to run around too much in em LOL they make you look so hawt though XD LOL!

Sadly they only make your stomach look better. D: Arms. legs, etc. will need actual working out.
