Sooo....
You know what I hate? When stupid flutes who don't know how to read music play during my cool flute solo crying . I was so excited that I finally got a big long flute solo for ratings...I've never had one before! And the last chair flute in our band always /plays/ it with me. It makes me emo. That might sound a little conceited and mean....but I never played when the old first chair had solos. It's my turn, darnit!
I get embarassed pretty easily. My school has a large flashing billboard right infront of it. They put my name up when I made all-state and GSA eek And people look at me and stuff, and it freaks me out.
But, so, the administration's all like 'Yeah, we have this really good musician at our school, and she made all-state', then they KILL THE BAND PROGRAM. I'm like, 'Can you help me fit band into my schedule', and they're like 'No. You have to pick between band or English. and You fail if you don't take English.' And I(along with about 20 other band students) was like WTF? Can you make another English class for people in band? And they were like 'No.' So we called the board of education....and now they have band.
It's like, 'We support the band, but we make it so that they can never take band'. I hate the administration. SCHOOLS NEED MORE MUSIC. That's my take.
So...yay for rants.

Yay! I went to county solo and ensemble and played the Chaminade Concertino with an accompanist, and our judge wants us to send a tape to the state solo and ensemble. He hardly ever does that xd
