Background Info & Index - This Post Rules & How To Join - 2nd Post Character Profiles - 3rd Post First RP Post - 4th post With time comes medical and technological advances, cures, new inventions. Every day tasks continually become easier and easier. But it all comes at a price. Greed and violence grows and develops just as fast as the technology. For some time the rebels had been fighting off new laws and alliances the government of Rowler was pushing for. The economy had been falling for decades now, and resources were being used up at astronomical rates. They were now desperate to make a deal to save them from an absolute depression. In these times of poverty, companies offered considerable amounts for test subjects. Though it was illegal, the government was in no shape to enforce the law. Families would have sell off their youngest. Single men and women would sell their “DNA,” and there was a small slave trade of sorts developing. Bounty hunters searched for child prodigies to kidnap and sell off to some lab. The latest development in the government was their alliance with the Sh’ori. In looks they were identical to humans. On the outside they come off as an analytical, well organized society that is quickly gaining recognition. Under that façade however, lies rash decision making, greedy, cold hearts, and a mind that looks out only for whats good for themselves. Within their own kind there is much betrayal. And their recent alliances are apart of a greater plan: domination. Rowler offers medical assistance, land, and workers. In return the Sh’ori offer technology, defense, and consumers of the Rowler’s goods. Strikes, demonstrations, assassinations, and threats have all come from the alliance. A quiet and struggling rebel force has arisen to stop the Sh’ori, though the rebels remain unaware of the full extent of the Sh’ori’s greedy intentions. ________________
Alien Races The Pythros are a parasitic alien race. They live in lakes and rivers, and if consumed, take over the body. The have an intellect as great or greater than humans and a are a very deceptive race. The mind of the person essentially becomes unconscious and is completely unaware of what the parasite is doing. The only advantage to this union is that the parasite is capable of healing fatal wounds within minutes. The Oregaurd are a non-gendered, benevolent race, with five times the normal brain capacity of a human. As well as benevolent, they are wise, and quiet. They tend to stick to themselves, in the shadows, only “surface” to help a friend defend themselves in times of great need. The Rye’Tchea are a race quite similar to humans in looks, natural abilities, emotions, and brain capacity. They are set apart from the humans solely by their genetic memory which allows them to remember their history since it began, and to advance at a much faster rate than most other races. Wojeil are a fierce race, literally feeding on the electrical pulses of other races. They have the same basic shape as humans, but have exceptionally sharp teeth and pointed finger nails. They drain the lifeforce, (electrical pulses in other races that keep the heart beating at a constant rate), simply by touch, though they typically dig their fingernails into the center of the chest to do so. ((These are only SOME of the alien races out there. They are ones that I specifically mention later on.))

Rules The number one rule is to be Lit. That means you have to obey all Gaian rules as well as the rules of this particular thread. Mispellings and typos happen, but try to do the best that you can. Character limitations are the next thing that needs to be addressed. This is a futureistic, sci-fi RP true, but characters cannot be demons, angels, elves, vampires, etc. As it is futurisitic, your character can be a test subject, (though please limit those. We don't want everyone to have the same sob story), a "mutant," an alien, or a human. PLEASE use good judgement when creating an alien character. I'd prefer that look as most like humans as possible to keep the drama from getting too ridiculous. As far as mutatns go, I'm sure radiation exposure has affected people in different parts. I ask that you keep "powers" very limited. Mutant characters cannot fly, be telepathic, shoot fire from their hands, become fire, or be shape shifters. I just don't want characters to get too out of control. I would like this to be as enjoyable as possible. _________________________________________ To join, PM me the following character profile form filled out AND an RP sample. The sample can be of anything at all; just something to demonstrate to us that you are at least semi-lit. If and when your profile is approved, I'll then post the characters here on the front page. Name: Nick Name: Gender: Age: Place of Birth: Race: Appearance: (NO PICTURES. Describe your character.) Characters Tanaii Name: Experiment 20911 Nick Name: Levi Gender: Female Age: 19 Place of birth: Rowler Race: Combination of four alien races and human DNA. 1% Pythros, 4% Oreguard, 15% Rye’Tchi, 10% Wojeil, and 70% human. Appearance:Levi’s appearance is striking for many reasons and is due to her unlikely combination of genetics. In the beginning she was quite pale. Her skin was literally was pale as milk, and her hair was platinum blonde. Her eyes were a pale, pale pink. Around the equivalent age of fourteen she went through a transformation, almost a sort of late puberty. It was a completely different transformation than most teens go through due to her Wojeil genes. Levi’s hair fell out, causing a tremendous itching on her scale, leaving her with scabs from scratching at it for weeks. She broke out into a rash like the chicken pocks that left behind metallic copper freckles. Her skin gained a bit more pigmentation, though she is by no means tan. Her hair grew back thick and metallic copper colored like her freckles. She’s of average size for a human girl of her age. She stands at about 5’4” and weighs 115 lbs. And as far as fashion is concerned, due to the poor economy, she wears what she can find. Her wardrobe is thus limited to a worn pair of stolen black military pants, (not camouflage and the cotton type that you tucked into boots), lace-up black military boots, a really old, off white stained, low cut, and ripping T-shirt that is too small for her, and a lace-up black vest. She keeps her hair pulled back in two pig tails, with her hair falling just above her bottom. Personality: Levi is infinitely stubborn. She won’t back down from a challenge even if she knows she can’t accomplish it, or if it includes great danger. At the same time, she can’t stand to watch others suffer. She will stand up for anyone she sees being picked on. Thus she has formed a strength complex. She is so concerned with acting strong and sucking up her emotion to be strong. This also means she can be harsh and seemingly cold at times. She may not want to watch others suffer, but she babys no one. She can’t stand those who sit around and do nothing for themselves, or those who complain instead of taking an active roll to change things. Everything put together, when she finds a frienc, a good and true friend, she becomes loyal and protective to the nth degree. Special Abilities: Being an unusual combination of genetics, Levi is capable of an unusual combination of things. Both the Pythros and Wojeil have a higher healing ability allowing them to heal major wounds within minutes and it means that they require little food and sleep. For Levi, she heals faster than most humans, but fatal wounds would take hours to heal instead of minutes. Due to her Oreguard genes she has two times the normal human brain capacity. And because the Rye’Tchi have genetic memories, Levi can read and speak Rye’Tchi. Strengths: Levi is good at analyzing situations and determining the risks. She has a mechanical mind which allows her to pick up repairing techniques easily, which prove quite useful in a falling-apart society. In general, she is a very fast learner and notices great detail. Weaknesses: Levi is stubborn, and mostly to a fault. She may often loose sight of the whole picture, or the greater good is she feels that her strength is being challenged or underestimated. And though Levi is good at analyzing situations, she often acts rashly. She’s in a rush to get things done. She also has an emotional problem. Her genetics cause conflicting emotions and thoughts, often giving her migraine headaches or causing her to zone out for long moments. History: Though 19, Levi’s history actually starts nine years ago. With the worsening living conditions and divorce rates climbing higher every day, the ability to have children came to an all time high. Specimens for medical research became sparse, though they turned to looking for “DNA” donors. Experiment 20911 started off as a human egg, with a whole bunch of modifications. Scientists were working on alien-human genetic engineering at the request of the government. Six alien species had been selected to be apart of the experiments. The government was hoping to create a genetically enhanced human population, capable of living longer, thinking better, and in better physical condition for wars. The experiments produced few positive results, most fetuses dieing. At last one survived past the three day mark. The first and only girl to live past a single day. After further examination, the scientist realized it was more about the balance of genes then anything else. Human DNA was simply incompatible with some of the other alien races. Experiment 20911 was cryogenically frozen when the project was shut done from lack of funds. For three years, Experiment 20911 sat as a three-day old baby beside the only other two surviving test subjects, both male. As the government became more desperate for improvements, changes, they reopened the project hoping that genetically enhanced humans were the answer to their economic problems. Experiments 20317, 20059, and 20911 were revived and placed in containment tubes. The scientists left the room for only a moment to record their data, take a bathroom break, grab some coffee. Upon returning they discovered that the children had grown too large for the tubes, already at the maturity level of a 9 month old child. Working quickly, the children were separated and the scientists began immediately to try and figure out what had caused the exponential growth and how to stop it before the children had progressed to death. In two days time the children had reached the maturity level of a four year old. Another two days, an eight year old. Scientists from all over had been called in to work on the project and by the fifth day they had what they hoped to be a solution. The Experiments growth was stopped at the maturity level of nine and ten year olds. (Experiments 20317 & 20059 grew slightly faster than 20911.) Levi spent the next three years in a lab, subjected to medical tests, day and night. Scientists from all over the galaxy came to see how this small and disintegrating planet had accomplished such a large feat. In a chance event, a large thunderstorm beyond anything ever seen on Rowler before, the Experiments managed to escape when all electricity had been redirected causing massive overloads and fires. Everything shut down and for weeks people had to resort to common sense. It caused the crime rates to skyrocket and several prisoners escaped. Levi lived in a condemned house used mostly for drug dealing for most of the next year. She pick pocketed what she could, learned to pick locks and disable security systems, and rummage through trash for her necessities. It was then, in the middle of her transformation (which lasted for 10 months), that the local bar owner took her in. She has been working at the bar ever since, listening carefully to everything said. She has connections, and through them she has joined the secret rebellion arising against the Sh’Ori and Rowler governement. The government has never stopped searching for their experiments and likely never will. Affiliation: Rebels

The red sun was finally beginning to set and those grey clouds had begun to clear for the first time in days. The orange and red colors were so welcoming after a day like today. A rough day at the auction, rough day with the hover scooter, and getting caught trying to steal fuel at the pumps. Levi’s hover scooter puttered to a stop just out front of the bar where she worked. It was one of the few buildings in the run down neighborhood that was decent, structurally and appearance wise. “Crimson End” The floating and flickering, neon bar sign read. Old newspapers rolled by, pushed along by the dull wind. There was nothing worth reading in them anymore. Most people used them for fires.
Levi pulled the scooter around to the back, locking it up with two cable locks, and one electric one. Scooters were rare, and working ones were rarer. Levi stepped up to the back door and stared up at the camera. After a few moments, a yellow light moved across her face.
“Identification confirmed,” a scratchy robotic voice announced. The thick steel door opened, sliding to one side, and then stopping suddenly. A small beeping noise went off, signaling an error somewhere. “Please do not block the door. Please do not block the door,” the robotic voice asked over and over again.
“Errrh,” Levi sighed, squeezing through the small opening in the doorway. Once she was on the other side, she kicked the door as hard as she could. The alarm shut off and the door slid open the rest of the way, then closed a few moments later.
“Who’s there?” A gruff voice barked from the back.
“It’s only me Bart,” Levi shouted, stepping into the co-ed locker room to put away her wallet and change for work. She tossed her vest and ragged old t-shirt onto the floor, pulling out her tight red tank top, black leggings, mini skirt, and sandals. She dabbed her make on, fixed her leggings, and pulled her hair back, sighing as she peered into the shattered and taped back together hand mirror she kept in her locker.
She was late, but it never really mattered. She had twenty-three minutes left until the bar opened for the night and there was nothing else for her to do, but wait.
