Sitting just outside of the lush oasis that the lions have claimed as their own, there are a few straggling trees that lay just outside of the circle. An unusually wide, shallow dugout sits just under one of the straggling trees, shaded a little by the large leaves. The winds always seem to blow from the oasis over this selected area, and they are usually cooler... probably because of the cool tempurature in the oasis. The clan has decided that this area would be the best for the young kits, for the fact that they wouldn't want the young ones to overheat at a young age.

Out of the bushes lunged a crimson flash of fur. Two bright different colored eyes gleamed playfully as he raced about, red and gold tail feathers flapping behind him. His short legs carried him around with amazing speed for a young one, and he darted in and out of the oasis, getting a kick out of being hot outside, then cool in the oasis, hot, cool, hot, cool. His small mouth hung open, revealing small ivory teeth. His bright pink tongue lolled out from inbetween his jaws like a dog, and he panted slightly. His flakes flew back as he ran. An occasional leaf or fern would smack him in the face before he tread hard upon it, as if punishing it.
(I know, it's pathetic! x.o;;; I'm having writer's block...)

A pair of green eyes gazed around from beneath the tree, looking around for something to do.Spotting the male zipping in and out of the trees her ears perked forward.Prey.A brownish lioness cub with red markings crept out of the dugout to stalk her potential 'victim'.Tail twtching behind her she crept slowy closer to the trees around the oasis.

Suddenly, he stopped, flakes flipping foreward, getting in the way of his vision for a moment before sprining back. He perked his round ears up, and he kneeded the soil beneath his claws. His eyes closed for a moment, and he listened. On a dime, he spun agilely around, and a small brown figure caught his eye. He rushed foreward, and crouched, a smirk on his face. He leapt up, the warm sun on his back, and his claws were extended and he "attacked" his victim.

Seeing the prey come at her she rolled to the side and lapt up, dashind off into the trees around the oasis.Feeling she had gotten away, at least for the moment, she crouched behind a clump grass to wait for her victim to come into the trees, her tail twitching lightly behind her.

Golden eyes peered at the two cubs sprinting in the hot sun from her perch in one of the higher branches in her favorite tree. It loomed over the oasis and was nearly leafless revealing broad mangled branches that were strong and sturdy, meaning it was easy for them to support Twila's delecate frame.
She was feeling lazy today and found it unbelieveable that these two little fluffballs of energy could be running and pouncing on each other in the midday sun. She was always more of a nightowl.

A brightly coloured male ran about in circles around a tree. His tail outstreatched helping him keep balance, causing his green tail feathers to flop around. What exactly the young cub was doing was most uncertain, but whatever it was, he was definatly enjoying himself. Eye shifted in his skull as he glanced around. There were two other cubs playing. Mind unfocused upon what he had been doing had suddenly caused him to trip over his own paws and he landed with a THUD. Brows lowered as the young cub stood up, shaking the dust off his blue pelt.
With teeth gritted he lept at his tail only to unsusesfuly miss it. Giving up on that idea he quikcly came to another. Ploping himself down he lowered his head and began to chew upon one of his hind paws. They had afterall triped him. Pehaps he would go see the other cubs after he had gotten his revenge upon his paws.

The sound of something hitting the ground made her momentarilly forget what she had been doing.Her ears perked forward as she stood up, curious to know what had made the sound.She crept torwards where the sound had some from, her tail near the ground causeing the feathers to drag.At the sight of the other cub she crouched down, her rear in the air.Giving her hindquarteds a shake she leapt forward to land close to the other cuband gave a small roar that sounded more like a squeaking mew.

Tu fell backwards as a brown and red cub lept towards him, letting out a squeak like roar. With the shake of his head he lept up and swished his tail in the air. Gently he pawed at the female a grin plastered upon his maw. This was more fun then his revenge upon his paws, or at lest more exciting. He let out a mew before bounding off towards the water's edge and spining in circles. Stoping for a moment he looked over at the female, letting out another mew.

Tilting her head to the side Iari watched as the other cub bounded off.Seeing him stop she reared up a bit, letting out a mew of her own, and bounded after him.As she got near she tried to jump over him, though one of her paws got tangled in a pesky plant.Tumbling forward she rolled torwards the water, stopping as she plopped into the shallows.

Tu let out somewhat of a snicker as Iari tumbled into the water. Slowly he jumped in after her, giving her a small nudge in the side. With a mew he lept over her causing the water to splash up into the air. Quickly he bounded back out onto the sand and rolled around. "Over here." he called out happily as he created something in the sand. As he stood up clumps of sand had latched itself onto his fur, making it quite heavy for the young cub. With a glare at the sand he jumped around forcing little bits and pieces to fly off of his pelt.

Iari glared as the other cub snickered, though seemed to forget as he jumped in and nudged her.She stood up as he called out and walked over to where he was.With a laugh she flopped over adn started to roll around, sand gathering on her wet fur.As she stood up she stumbled a bit, though caught her balance before falling over.She gave a quick twitch of he ears, causing sand and water to fly off her ears and the flakes.Crouching a bit she jumped forward and started bounding around, water and sand flying through the air from out of her fur.

The young blue male lowered himself to the ground, eyes fixed upon the female. Bits of sand and water flying from off her fur attacked his own. With a shake of his head the bits that had landed on him were soon off. His tail swished back and forth, green tail feathers slowly getting covered in sand. By the time he had stoped moving his tail about it had been completly covered. Ears willing pressed back against his skull as he let out a yawn. He'd get back up and play soon.
The warm sand pressed against his body, forcing his fur to warm up. This feeling was actually quite nice and it was helping to dry off his fur. With his fur all wet his blue pelt seemed to shimmer in the sunlight, causing him to look even brighter. He lay there eyes remained fixed upon the other cub.

Rackna's eyes, now that his first victim had disappeared, glanced toward the little blue lion. Lowering, he crawled closer. Training his red and yellow eyes on his target, he stopped and stuck his rear in the air, waving his multi-color tail feathers in plain view. A small smirk appeared on his face, and his eyes narrowed playfully. His claws extended and began kneeding the soft white sand underneath his paws. He released a small, excited mew as he raced forward toward Tu.

Alittle cub with a brown coat and orange like strips watched them from under neath the foilage. He purred softly as he watched them play with his tail flicking to side to side excitedly wanting to pounce on one of them."Just as soon as one of them gets close eoungh..."He said softly to him self with a evil grin on his maw.
