Hurrah for journals!

Well, my mother made me try out for a scholarship for Interlocken. I didn't really care, I said I was fine just going to floot fire like always, but no; she wants me to try to get into something uber expensive and "prestigious" when I really don't care that much at all.

After I played my solo for solo/ensemble even, I messed up a bit, but my judge was all like, "You must really love your flute" I'm like, well, sure I do, but then she's all like "Do you like, look forward to playing it all the time? Like wehen you're at school, you can't wait to get home so you can play" I'm just like WTF lady, you in their right mind has time to be so ... dedicated!! Sure I practice more than most, but I'm not insane!! Ugh, silly stereotypes...

Ugh.. then some guy, who I beat by 2 chairs yet he's a year older than me, is such a showoff!! He's soo annoying. Silly Idaho kid. Idaho sure aint Texas. The senior next to me was all like, "make sure you beat him next year, kay!!"

&& I played horrible at the orchestra concert... I must've come in wrong like 3 times!! It was so embarrassing, but thank god the violins covered it up....

ugh... toodles!

Floot Fest is coming up soon.. I have a week to perfect a duet w/ my lesson teacher, a trio w/ some classmates, and a 7-page solo. Stressful. But if I can pull it off decently, hopefully next year I can prove myself at area tryouts.

I suddenly have a strong desire to play piccolo. but we already have a picc. player, so I probably won't get to play it until senior year when she graduates. *tear* Hopefully, maybe I'll be section leader then.

And so, I have been focusing on that region music a lot. I must make state! *clenches fist*

But my new flute is just beautiful!!! *luffs it to death* and I finally decided to name my Trevor James TJ. or LaTeege. yeah. sounds cool.

But alas, I have to get my winter break homework done before Tuesday. I might want to start soon....
