The dawn was approaching. He could see a sliver of the sun peeking over the horizon, getting ready to wake everyone up. Almost like a rooster, just more subtle. He thought, his blue eyes dancing with amusement. Winter was passing and half of the snow was already gone. The ice that was currently the lake was melting, and grass was finally able to breath from under the snow.

The light blue equu kicked a bit of snow off to the side. He loved the snow, but he hated the cold. It was quite contradictory really, but he shrugged it off and contiued kicking around what was left of the snow. The days were getting warmer, and it hadn't snowed in weeks. With in the next few days, all of it would be gone. He couldn't help feel a little sadness at that. They got snow only once a year, and it never seemed to last. "Too bad it couldn't be warm and snow, nyah." His somewhat childish voice muttered.

Deciding that he was hungry and thirsty, the stallion headed to the lake. Though, his real reason was he was bored, but that didn't matter. "Where is everyone?" He asked out loud, knowing he probably wouldn't get an answer.

" Out of the meadows, obviously. But I wouldnt know where specific equus are, if you were to ask. " Kazuya leaped down from a hill, walking up to the familiar equu. She may not have grown outwardly, still a foal that she was, but Kazuya could now keep her emotional feelings into check. It seemed long past time she grew though. She also learned a few other nifty things with her cousins. Her hooves hit the ground lightly, as she stared up to the large adult.

She had glanced up to seen Eiji kicking in the snow, and paused before approaching, on the side of the lake. " so, you look well. Has anything happened of late? "

Kazuya was still the same old purple foal. Compared to Eiji, she looked extremely short, no surprise there, but she couldnt help smiling at his childlish tone.

Eiji jumped slightly, startled by the unexpected voice. "Kazuya!" He cried, surprised. "It's been a while!" He walked up to meet her, giving her a friendly nuzzle in greeting. "Why would they be out of the meadow? The snow is a lot of fun. Not that there is much left anyway." He grumbled taking in the surrounding scenery, frowning at the fact that there were only patches of white.

"Well enough, I suppose." The stallion, agreed. "Not much new. I've been bored out of my mind this past winter." He glanced at Kazuya. "You look like you've been taking care of yourself." Eiji knew better than to comment on her size, he knew it was a touchy subject. Size didn't matter, that's what he always said to others who teased Lust and Shinrin. It's the inside that counts. That, and Kazuya was quite mature. "You been keeping out of the meadows as well?"

Kazuya tipped her head, looking around. The meadows didnt show much hoofprints like it did before, and everything seemed much duller. The trees.. the snow.. How sad.

" I guess, some of us dont share the same view. It's been rather empty lately." .. As Eiji talked about how she had been taking care of herself, Kazuya tried to answer the question.

" I've been hanging around Taizou lately. He keeps to himself in the forest, and he's nice if he wants to be. " Kazuya shrugged, her eyes looking around a little sadly. The equu meadows wasnt the same anymore. Before it was a ton of frolicking fun, but it had lost a little of that shine. Was she imagining it?

" What about you? I havent seen you for the longest while. Where were you? " Kazuya flicked her tail, in curiosity, eyes scanning over Eiji. His appearance didnt change a bit.

Eiji observered while Kazuya took in the meadow. She seemed down and he hated it when she was sad. "Nyah, Kazu, you alright?" He asked, concerned.

"Me? I've been around. I don't like the forest that much, so, I've been at the edge of it. Or exploring around here." He shrugged his shoulder, red mane shifting. "Not much else I can do. Everyone disappears during winter." He took a moment to bend his head for a drink, taking a long gulp.

"I'm happy spring is coming. It will be more lively. After all," he sent her a wink. "Love will be in the air. More foals to play with." It was common knowleged that Eiji prefered to play with the foals as they were more fun than the majority of the adults. He was still a kid, despite his size and what everyone said about him.

Kazuya shook her head, looking up, as if woken up.

" Why do you ask? Of course I am. " Did she look depressed? Oh my. Kazuya.. didnt think she was? Of course she wasnt!

.. And.. Did that wink mean something? .. Suspicious. " Yeah, more foals. It'll be .. really active with them running around. How could it possibly not? " Kazuya knew, even though Eiji grew quickly in looks, his foalish heart wouldnt change.

Grinning, Kazuya looked over the shimmering lake. .. " Yeah. Eiji's still a little foal at heart. DO yuo ever grow up? "

"You just looked sad there for minute." Eiji said, turning his head.

"Foals will be fun to play with." He grinned widely. "Oh! Oh! Did you hear? Kumo and his mate are going to be parents." Eiji chuckled at the thought. "Who would have thought? Kumo a dad. Those are going to be some very mischievious foals."

"Grow up? Nyah, why would I want to do that?" He asked, incredulous. "Growing up would mean being mature and boring. I don't want to grow up unless absolutely necessary."
PostPosted: Sat Feb 17, 2007 4:18 pm

.. Kumo.. a parent? How surprising. No doubt he found a mate of his own kind of personality. But then.. opposites attract.

" I havent heard that interesting bit of news. It's rather surprising to see the infamous trickster decided to settle down. Who's the unfortunate mare? " Kazuya asked, her words sarcastic, but her tone light-hearted.

" And then there are some equus who plain just dont settle down no matter who comes along. I sure wish my cousins would consider mating. But how does that benefit me? Neither does a grown-up Eiji benefit me. I like you the way you are."

Eiji pondered, trying to see if he could remember her name. "Ano...hmm. I only remember she was a dragoness of sorts." The stallion flicked his wings. He hadn't met the mare, but from what he got from Kumo, the other was really in love with her. He then grinned. "Foals around will be so much fun!" He said enthusiastically. "You think, Kazu-chan?"

"Exactly. Kumo is the only one I know who has settled down. It really must be hard to find someone to love." Eiji looked to the horizon, before turning back to Kazuya with a huge infectious grin. "And I you! I wouldn't want you to change either." He paused, before looking at her, slightly confused. "Nyah, how do I benefit you?" What could he say, he was curious.

" Do you really want to know dear Eiji? Well.... If you must. I've known you since we were foals, considering I STILL am a foal, you have given me alot of secrets, which I can use as blackmail, and you're loyal, I hardly even think you can use blackmail effectively considering I have no secrets to hide, but you're my friend. Should I go onto the topic of a friend? "

Kazuya hoped her words didnt offend him, but she was rather boradminded and said things straight out as they were.

... " And by the way, I heard of Celeste's foals just before you came. "

Eiji grinned broadly. "Why thank you, Kazu-chan. I feel the same about you." He thought for a minute, "Aside from Pouncequick, you're like my first friend. I guess I could call you a best friend, nyah?" Offend, him? Eiji didn't know the meaning of the word. "Blackmail? Hmm, I don't think I would want to blackmail anyone, and I don't think you would blackmail me. Considering, like you, I pretty much tell my secrets to everyone."

"Celeste had foals?" This news surprised him. "Hmm, is Hantu the lucky stallion?" He asked. He remembered Celeste hanging out with the brown equu a lot. "Yeah, I get to babysit ocassionally for Kumo. So, it should be fun."

Kazuya suddenly remembered an old memory.." You should ask her yourself! After all, you did have more then just an ordinary affection towards her. I almost forgot those days. I bet she'll be embaressed but happy to tell you who it is. "

Too bad Celeste had been so dense then. But then again, she wouldnt be having the foals she had now.

" Two of them look like Celeste, one looks like Hantu and the other is a cross. Pretty typical if you ask me. They're all reallly nice though. I think. " To think about it, Kazuya just might be getting some new friends~

Eiji's cheeks coloured slightly. "Yes, well, I was young and silly back then..." He pondered. "Though, Celeste was pretty mean at first. Then she met me!" He chuckled slightly. Though, he didn't believe he had anything to do with Celeste's change of attitude after a while. "Hmm, wonder what changed her mind. She had a Tulja attitude." He shrugged, "Ah well! I believe she has pretty foals."

Eiji laughed, as she described the foals. "Nyah, you just told me who the stallion was anyway." He grinned brightly at her. "I'd like to meet them sometime. Oh oh! They should meet Keilantra, though, she's pretty shy...I'm sure she would eventually get used to them."

" Oh.. I did tell you. DARN. " Kazuya was really looking forward to seeing Eiji confront Hantu. Oh darnit. She pawed the ground impaitently, her perfect plan all fouled up.

" Her foals are very beautiful. I bet they'll be attracting alot of eyes when they grow up. " Kazuya wished SHE could grow soon! Man. Everybody else around her had already grown. Kazuya leaned back, and sat in the grass her mind wondering what to say next.

(( Shall we both throw in other equus to make it fun? x) ))

((of course! I think I'll bring in two...Chip and Ryokou...maybe. Chip for sure in a bit. 3nodding ))

"Don't worry, I'll probably still give them my congrats personally." Eiji chuckled, seeing her frustration. "It would be rude not to, especially considering I know now."

"I had no doubt." Eiji flicked his wings, before stretching them to their full width. "Nyah, Kazu, let's go to the lake? I'm feeling kinda thirsty." He hadn't gone to the lake this morning, so in turn, he hadn't had anything to drink. It was quite silly of him really. However, he wouldn't be Eiji if he didn't make silly decisions like that.
