Robot Mode Appearance: In robot mode, Soundwave has a very thin frame. His wings turn into a more compact version and serve as his arms, and a small shield when engaged in combat. But due to his relative size, this defense cannot last indefinitely. When standing upright, Soundwave is considered a standard sized Maximal. The large pair of ears on his head fall forward on the head and form a collar as his head emerges from the bat form's mouth. The compact body and lower jaw form Soundwave's upper body, while the hinged legs, tail and membrane form his lower body and legs.

Special Abilities: Prowler, Beast Flier and Bot Flier
Weapons: Ultra-sonic hearing and the ability to emit a sensor scrambling shriek. In tune with his beast form, Soundwave also carries several sonic devices such as sonic emitters to stun or deceive enemies, and a sound projecting weapon that can forcibly launch an enemy several feet back (Think SW Geonosian guns)

Bio: Soundwave is a very mysterious member of the Maximals as it role as a scout tends to keep him from the rest of his team. Stealth and understanding your surroundings is everything to him, and he has done a great deal of training to be able to slip in and out of tense situations. The addition of another team member puts alot of undo strain onto Soundwave as he tries to ensure that not only the mission is accomplished, but also that his safety and the others are also guaranteed.
Soundwave has bonded immensely with his new form and relishes in the freedom and stealth that it gives him. He tirelessly serves Optimus Primal and the rest of the Maximals on the strange new planet. This dedication and unrelenting sense of discovery makes him a valuable asset, both for his strategy and recon abilities.
