X) yeah. It's like watching those paintings of monkeys turning into men. I lover these <3333
Even though some are amazingly bad rofl I went through some WEIRD stages, like the 8 million foot long legged horse, and then toothpick legs... XDD

aww! these are so cute! lol, i should totally rip off ur idea and do one like this for me, haha. except for i didnt start rawing horses til gr. 7 or 8, but when u dont really know what they should look like, it kind looks the same, lol. (yes, i was one of the ones who drew their hind legs backwards, lol, ...so ashamed). haha, i love it how ur TBs have legs as thick as a draft's but on the TB body...someone grew up around cart horses....lol.

I love how the TB in the 7th pic down looks like some fat pony XP
xD a lot of my early "racehorse" drawings had fat TBs, because all I knew was that racehorses were big. rofl

And notice the rider poses? YIKES. I love the rider poses I have now... rofl I actually take into consideration techinque AND the situation.

lol, i know, ill draw a picture of a horse, and my art teacher or someone will come up to me and say like "wow! beautiful horse!" ill just look at it and say "well, not really. it has a bit of a goose neck and its sickle hocked with a steep pastern angle." lol, they usually just nod and walk away, haha.

Yeah, now I actually feel bad because people will be like "that is so AWESOME" towards a pen-doodle, or a horrenously out-of-proportion drawing (my heads tend to be a bit too big when I doodle, and the legs all odd-shaped) and then I say 'not really' and people think I'm feeling sorry for myself or something x_x
until they see my other drawings rofl

Haha, I remember back in the fourth grade I was SO full of myself. I thought I was just the master of drawing horses. Kind of sad, really.

@Fizzeh: xDDDD that's great. I remember people, in seventh grade, would be like "that horse is too skinny, have you SEEN how fat horses are?" and I was like "uhm, I own a horse, I think I would know what they look like!"

I used to do the same thing (draw them - especially race horses - REALLY skinny) except they also had thin legs and normal-sized hooves xp . I also always drew the ribs showing o__0 because I saw an illustration from one of the Black Stallion books where ribs were, like, slightly implied but in a fit, healthy way. My horses looked like they were starving. rofl
