Eddie Van Halen...Gene had helped discover Van Halen in the late 70's.By the time Ace left in 1982, Eddie told Gene that he wanted to join Kiss cause He was having problems with David Lee Roth. Gene wanted a guitarist who wasn't well know, so they ended up with Vinnie Vincent.
The rest as they say is Kisstory...lol.
