Defense Agaisnt the Dark Arts-
Yes, we all know this classroom. not to startle you, but this room has a very dark feel to it. the teacher isn't exactly nice.......

Arabella entered the classroom and looked around. It was different than any of the other classrooms she had seen yet. Arabella cautiously walked forward. She picked a seat in the middle of the room to sit in and sat down. She took out a piece of parchment, a quill, and ink, and began to write a letter to a friend.

Melody yawned. A letter she was writing to her mother escaped her, it's color changing ink bright. She glared at it, pointed her finger, and hoped for the best. she wanted it to come to her, but her powers were random. Instead of coming to her, it exploded. "Crap." she murmured. She looked at her finger. it was black. "how come when I don't want to use that power, it happens, and when i want it to it doesn't?" she flicked her hand subconciously, only to be blown back by a huge gust of wind that seemed to come out of it.
She blinked as she watched herself change into a cat. She looked around, and sighed. She shook her fur out, and she turned back to normal. people were now staring at her. she glared at them, making static climb through their hair. "How unlucky," she said, "that the only power that comes when I call it makes your hair stand up?"
She was an outcast. the only one in the school with random powers, and for certain, the only kid with a teacher as a relative. She would want to use a power, and get another one instead. like before flying, she wanted to catch someone on fire only to have it backfire and make her speak japanese.
