The Northern part of the Lemlets world is marked by its frigid temperatures and snowy landscapes. Villages are few and far between. Lemlets get around by sleds pulled by teams of pussywillows, flufflike creatures who like in the snow. The largest village is the resort, Frostdale, which has recently gotten more popular. The North's culture is full of warmth and hospitality. Travelers who come here are sure to have a warm welcome.
Legends:
- Frostdale is said to be where the first Lemlet Knight of Ice was born.
- Giant ice monsters are rumored to live in the mountains and the roar of avalanches are said to be their fights.
- It's said that if you travel far enough to the North you will find a village of fairy spirits who will bless you with eternal health.
Traditions:
- On the night of Winter Solstice, Lemlet children leave out an empty sock to be filled with goodies by a friendly spirit called Frostheart.
- Every March there's a huge festival held in Frostdale called Foodfest. This takes place in stalls in the town square where all the chefs try to outdo each other with delicious cooking done quickly. At the end of the day, chefs can submit larger and more time consuming works in to be judged in a competitition and the winner is announced King of Chefs until the next festival.
- Hostelkeepers usually place a small silver flower that grows only in the North on the pillows of sleeping guests to grant them the protection of the spirit of Ice during their stay.
Rumors:
-There is a rumor circulating that the Knight of Darkness's fortress has popped up in the far North.
-They say that a strange man clad in blue has been seen lurking around peoples' mailboxes every morning then leaving. This, however, is suspected to be the mailman.
Towns and Villages: (From largest to smallest)
Frostdale*
Chipperton-
Second largest town in the North, it is a quiet and cheerful place full of denizens who love snow sports and specialize in them.
Bright Lights-
A village that is popular due to the fact that the Aurora Borealis is rumoured to appear most often here. A small collection of houses and a few shops.
Meanderings- Just consisting of houses and a small convenience shop, it's a little way off from Bright Lights. A tiny village with many oddities including a huge sculpture of a Knight in the square.
Nookville- Another tiny village, it's far away from the others, and is at the edge of the North. It has a slightly warmer temperature adn the Lemlets here live by hunting and gathering food and make all their own clothing. When they do get imported goods from other places, they keep them in the family, as they're precious treasures to them.
Ice Valley- A branch of Frostdale, Ice Valley marks the beginning of a vast icy chasm that crosses miles of territory. The village is on the very edge of the chasm.
Willow- Willow is four houses and a trading shack in the far north. No one has visited it in many years.
