As a practitioner of galdhr and seidhr, it was only natural that I was chosen by both Odin and Freyja. We won't talk about the third deity who chose me... sweatdrop

Odin. Im a lover of knowledge, wisdon, and magic. He is a god of war and I can be a violent individual, which being another one of the reasons I chose him, but I dont like just focusing on that alone [even though I do focus on that]. He also posseses many other attributes that I respect him for such as poetry [being a poet and story writer myself].
You stole my topic evil . [j/k]

I've always looked Odin as my patron deity as his thirst for knowledge and wisdom are somehow attributed within my characteristic.

I was chosen by Tyr, God of the sky, justice, victory and war
which explains my odd attraction to the tyr rune I'm not sure where the sky falls in on me but i do believe in fighting for a just reason and i seek victory in everything in my life biggrin

I've choosen Baldur and Odin. Because I like Odin's knowledge, strength and leadership. And Baldur for his beauty and guidence. And that Odin is the head of the Aesir and Baldur will return to become the head of the Aesir.

I noticed that you typed "Parton God/Goddess" as the title of this thread. It reminds me of the joke:
"If your images of the God and Goddess are velvet paintings of Elvis and Dolly Parton... you might be a Redneck Pagan." rofl

One thing that facinates me is how many people keep the same set of gods and godesses as their "patron" god(ess)... Odin and Freya have a lot of followers that way... probably more than enough...
I ask the Nornir for their knowledge sometimes...
I also end up taking the moment to acnowledge some of the other gods.. Yes I do pay my respects to Odin and Freya and Tyr and so on... but I feel the need to honour all the gods...
some situations I ask Forseti for guidance.. Njörður gets a lot of my respect too...
I'd have to say that if I had to pick one and accept as a patron god(ess) I'd be torn bewteen Forseti and Viðar.

i think that all are important and its important to honor each, but i also think that a few god/goddess picks you, not the other way around. i thought that Freya was going to my main Goddess, but its looking more like Baldur.

The gods usually pick you not the other way around. If you read the Edda half of the lords, nobles and heros go to freyja and half to ohdinn. Besides ohdinn takes what he wants and freyja is a slut. The peasants go to Thorr and the Fisherman to njord. In the times long ago Ohdinn was a feared diety and Thorr was most popular. By the way Hel's clan ^^ wish means im stuck with the whole family and do their beconning.

The problem lies in the modernisation of the faiths. I think it's safe to say that very few of us are lords, nobles or heroes... And the peasants and fishermen aren't too many either. So why do such an overwhelming majority of people get picked by Óðin and Freya? Þór comes up sometimes and very rarely Njörður.
