Okay. xd For a long, long time, I've promised myself never to share the odd and sometimes embarrassing messages that come to my Myspace inbox. As I "own" the unofficial Roger Taylor Myspace page, you can imagine that more often than not, I get fan mail from people who are under the impression (and clearly haven't read the main header) that Roger himself is actually affiliated with the site, and actually reads messages that are addressed to him. What I'm about to show you all is something that I'm not sure how to classify. Endearing? Sweet? A little bit creepy? Either way, it's a bit... strange, and I just wanted everyone to have a good natured, non-offensive laugh at an unnamed, Asian well-wisher under the impression that she was speaking with Mr. Taylor: Quote: Dear Roger
Hi! Nice to see you! I'm [username]. I'm Brian's fan but you are 2nd on QUEEN!!!(sorry)
I want to be your friend and be Brian's friend of wife(I know he has lady)
Someday, please tell me Brian's private E-mail address! I have sent to Brian's Soapbox and sometimes returned. But I want to be his girlfriend.
What do you think thesedays about Brian? I think past he is great! growing old is not bad thing but emotion is must CERTAINLY edgely. Oh my English is poor...I cannot tell you my thinking...You are good to get old. You had age but good! But Brian is...
Please E-mail back this site's or [email address of fan] (very funny address if you see!)
I love you!!!
Lots of love, [username] When I first read this, my feelings were a mixture of, "Aww! How cute!" matched with, "Umm... That's a bit demanding. Personal email address?" paired alongside, "Yes... Brian really did age terribly." It did, for the most part, end making me feel all warm and fuzzy and happy... somehow. xd whee But, all good dreams meet ends at some point. Here was my reply: Popo Dear [username],
I'm sorry to say this, but sadly, Roger Taylor doesn't actually visit this page. D: His profile is run by fans just as eager to meet him as you, I'm afraid.
I must say, though; your message was very sweet, and I wish I had a way to send it to him. But don't give up! Maybe one day there will be a way for us to reach him. For now, let's keep hoping.
Best Wishes!

God, Popo... the life of running a website devoted to a famous person, eh? wink

Something's horribly bizarre and creepy about some of the people on the Internet. A while back, I was flipping through this one forum place in boredom and I found the largest topic on the board devoted to Hilary Duff (misspelled, though razz ). I looked inside out of curiousity, and like half of the thread seemed to be under the impression that Hilary Duff was actually reading it. Requesting her e-mail address, telling her how much they loved her, or how much of a role model she was, etc.
Just can't understand it... o______o"

Ignorance really drives me crazy... xd I mean, I don't understand why people think that out of the millions and millions of websites out there, a celebrity would choose to give them special attention. The Hilary Duff thing is just... AGH! xd
Honestly though... Does anyone know the manual coding to make certain font bigger on a Myspace layout? I have this "I AM NOT ROGER" disclaimer but I think it's too small, because now, three or so hours later, I've gotten another message from another person, who's also confessing to me their love for Rog. xd Help, help! heart

Soren: It amuses me when people think that a celebrity is actually reading something of theirs. Especially when it comes to fan threads/fan forums. I used to hang out in a forum and a exceptionally large topic was devoted to Good Charlotte's Joel Madden. And they believed that he was reading it. Worse, when someone got an account labeled 'Joel M' and posted there... they thought it was him. xd
Popo: You know the saying "Ignorance is Bliss"?... It's not too blissful for those around the ignorant. stressed
Whoo! My HTML knowledge comes in handy. whee ; The code is:
<*font size=18*> [insert words here] <*/font size*>
The font size can go higher than that, of course. Take the... damn it, can't remember their names. Take the lovely little stars out. xd

Asterisks. razz
Now... if they were following a really lazy musician who did practically nothing but sit on their butts at the computer, then I wouldn't blame them. I heard in an interview that Weird Al is online a lot like that on MySpace, but he's probably the only one out there. razz

that was...disturbing, to say the least...cute, but the bit about being Brian's girlfriend creeped me out, just a bit...amusing about how well/badly they aged...and she's lucky that Brian returned her emails...

I just hope she didn't say things like that in the emails to Bri. I mean, how exactly does one go about replying to that?
