Alright
Listen up Kids.
This is the first contest Star Crossed Witches has ever had so lets make it a good one.
This contest is going on from
Febuary 19th to March 21st.
I want to make sure everyone who wants to participate does.
This is an Art Contest.
There is an entry fee of 50 gold. Which please send too Angel No More, and YES I will be keeping up on who has sent me money and who hasn't.
Then send me a PM with the URL to your art.
You guys get to vote on this art. Now...this is how the art will be voted on
I will make another post after this with the participants name and a url to their art.
Veiw it.
Then post how many points out of ten you'd give them and no you don't have to do this on everyone's art.
I will tally out the points and so on and post the score next to the person's name.
On March 22nd the winner will be awarded 1000 Gold.
Enjoy and let the artestry begin.

Duncan gets a 3, the detail is pretty good but the human's porportions could use a little work. (I'm not trying to be negative, I'm just trying to give him idea's on how to make it better)
HoofFoot gets a 4, those little creatures are really cool, same with the sun but I think maybe the blue should be just a shade or two darker.

The arms and legs aren't pointing in straight lines, and that's why they might look unproportional. As for the rest, I compared with a real human, and belive it or not, they do have more or less the same proportions. Maybe a bit difference on the torso, but not much, especially when taking the armour into consideration. I thought it seemed strange at first too, but yah. The sword might also look a bit smallish, but if you look at the shadow, you'll notice that he's not holding it straight out from his body. He's holding it backhanded and in an angle backwards, thus changing the apparent size in two dimension. Thanks for the opinion though.
And since you were nice enough to give me a tip, I'll give you one as well. Tears tend to flow from the inner corner of the eye, not the outer. Kinda nice picture though, even if it could use some shading.
I won't be giving out any points to anyone myself, since I know I couldn't do it objectively.

I would give dragoness arleena a 4, it is a good sketch as it is however with some shading I think it would look more complete.
I would give HoofFoot a 5, I like the creatures and their movement. The colours you have used compliment each other nicely.
I would give Duncan the Soulknight a 3, the drawing is good. I am not very good at drawing humans, I think you have done well with the knight.

My shading looked really good on that picture, but my scanner sucks crying I should have used the one at school! Ah well, thank you, I can't blame you since you judge merely on what you see, thank you ^_^

Anything below this point is to be considered as constructive criticism, so please...
HoofFoot gets a 6 from me because the creatures are rather cute and the colors do compliment each other nicely. The color distinctions of the water are a bit too distinct at some places, but overall, very nicely done.
Dragoness gets a 5. I like how you did the hair and it does have an emotional factor. The bangs are so nice and it actually looks like hair with all its little strands. The face seems a little too long to me and the wrinkles a bit too deep/dark.
Duncan gets a 4. Although there is quite an amount of detail put into the picture, there are little things that...um...I don't have quite the word I'm looking for. Anyways, the guy is drawn quite nicely and seems mostly proportional. His shadow seems a bit odd and is that a shield in his left hand?

Thank you ^_^ I love doing hair, it's one of my favorite things to draw. I couldn't get anyone to cringe their eyes so I wasn't really sure how deep to make them, but I'll deffinatly keep that in mind for next time! Yeah...her face is a little long, I always seem to have that problem. I think I need to make the nose just a tad shorter. I draw the facial features and then the hair and then the jaw line (I can't get the shap right if I do the jaw line first) so I'll have to work on getting the features closer together 3nodding Thank's for the advice! ^_^

I give Duncan 5 points. The anatomy, armor and weapons need practice, but are getting there. The background isn't very good, but props on having it in the first place. The lineart is sketchy, but thankfully not too hazy. Shading is almost nonexistent.
I give Hooffoot 8 points. The colours are beautiful and mix well together. The background is simplistic, but it's not too bad considering that the place is underwater, where masses of water make everything hazy. The scene looks kinda frozen in time, though - some sense of movement would give it more life. The creatures are original and funny.
I give Arleeana 4 points. The face anatomy is good, but the lines are very sketchy and unclear, especially around the edges. Shading is there, but it's light and hardly noticeable in many places. The whole composition makes the picture look very unfinished.
