Maki Kakei's room descorated like so with another level below of a small training area for herself. There's also a casual living room for herself with kitchen and plasma TV. Heck yeah. mrgreen The window changes the outside look as she pleases.

Maki walked into her room amd smiled. She dimmed the lights and walked to the window changing it to the window view from when she lived in Yzea.
The desert town spread out below and people seemed to be moving around the quaint but dangerous marketplace below. She sighed as she placed her chin on her hands watching outside, missing home. So far and yet so near.
"It feels like it's right outside..." Maki whispered to herself and slid the window open to a dark and desolate empty space, "But it's not." She shut the window again and watched the sun rise over the buildings and shadows creep around the marketplace.

Maki entered her room and closed the door quietly. She left the lights off and moved towards the window. She moved the couch around to face it and touched the window.
The window glowed brightly and changed into the night time version of her desert hometown, Yzea. The sky was bright with stars. The marketplace was quiet. She missed home. Her eyes were sad with lonliness.
"I miss them....I miss them all...." Maki said pressing her head up against the window and sliding to the floor. "Just for now..." She whispered to herself. "When everyone is not looking...I can think about home. Naoto....Yuto..." A tear dropped onto her knee. "Junichi..."

Maki blinked a bit from the dark and realized that it was still dim in her room. The night sky still hung through the windows. She closed them and the lights turned on immediately. Grudgingly, she stood and moved to the bathroom and splashed some water on her face. Her bangs hung over her eyes from the water.
"That's it!" Maki said to herself, slapping her cheeks, "This is no time for crying!" She grabbed a towel and quickly dried her face and slung it over the couch before dashing out to the louge to see what the others were doing.

Maki stumbled into her room and collapsed on the floor out of dizziness. "Who knew you could be this dizzy if you lost so much blood...?" She wondered aloud to no one. "mmm...couch too far..." Maki whined, "Eh...floor and carpet comfortable enough...."

"Maki." A voice called quietly above her.
Maki's eye fluttered open. "mmm...." Her gaze went up as she saw a familiar face. "Zain?!" She struggled to sit up, pushing herself off of the ground. "What the heck are you doing here?!" She looked at him from head to toe, he hadn't changed. His cold but soft yellow eyes gazed upon her with slight worry, though it could not be seen easily. Black, ruffled hair tied in the back in a small horsetail while the rest of it was messy curved his face. She looked down at the ground and her eyes went wide and then saddened. "I see...you're not really here...it's just a shadow."
Zain looked down at his boots. Indeed there was no shadow trailing along the floor. "No, I'm sorry. This is a recent spell I learned. I...guess...that I wanted to show you..." Zain turned his head away.
Maki laughed, "You liar." She moved forward, he was about a head taller than her. Her raised hand aimed to place a hand on his chest, but is fazed through. Her hand pulled back, she smiled up at him, "I wanted to see you too." Maki turned around on her heels, "Yeah I guess it's my fault for not visiting home that often. I can't really just pop over there y'know. Or send letter to you either." She laughed, rubbing her nose. "But now that you know where I am. Come visit anytime ok?" Maki turned and smiled at him, slightly red that she said that.
Zain smiled, "Next it'll be for longer. I think the spell is running out." Zain began to fizz in and out, "Maki...I'll be waiting for you...when you come back." He smiled a rare smile to only her and disappeared into shine.
"Zain!" Maki reached out but passed through the light that disappeared into the air. "Che...not like I could do any better myself with that spell." Maki smiled and clutched her hand, "Thanks Zain." She sighed and plopped on the couch, looking up at the ceiling cover her eyes with her arm.

"GACK!!" Maki jumped and crashed into the table next to her couch. "Just...just what the hell is going on?! Another alarm?!" Maki quickly got up, fully healed, quickly changed her clothes to fresh ones and dashed outside, sure to grab her charm necklace which she got as a gift from Zain long ago.

Maki clicked open the door to her room and shut it quietly behind her. Rounding on her heels, she made her way into a small cabinet as water boiled on the stove.
"Y'know too much ramen will make you fat."
Maki's head perked up and slightly banged on the cabinet top, dropping her cup of ramen in the process. "Zain..." She mumbled, looking over her shoulder at the shadow of a frowning Zain. Reaching down, she grasped the cup again and stood up, walking back to the stove rubbing her head. "That scared me..."
"I think you'll survive." Zain curtly replied, leaning against the wall. His usual gesture since he wouldn't really be able to do anything else. "How are you holding up? It's been awhile. Your hair's getting longer."
Maki tugged on one of her bangs. Yep, it was getting longer but it was fine since it wasn't in her eyes just yet to drive her insane. "The keys are missing. The ones that all the Chasers worked so hard to get. They're saying that it might've been Sophia, Zife's lover. Or at least I think she's that." Maki replied, quickly turning around to shut off the stove and the screaming pot.
Zain didn't respond to it, but watched casually as Maki prepared her ramen that she apparently could never live without. "What do you think?" He asked her, following behind her as she moved back into the livingroom and slumping down on the couch.
"I'm not sure." The girl reponded between slurps of noodles in her mouth. "I never really knew this Sophia person. And I don't remember even seeing her. But Jon did say that she was the only one in the base when they were stolen. So she was either kidnapped, or did it herself."
Zain's eyes gazed out the window that showed the midnight of the desert town of Yzea, where Maki grew up in. He sighed, "It's a mysterious from your stand point. You cannot do anything about it but fight-"
"-For what I believe in." Maki finished, even if that wasn't was Zain was going to finish with.
Zain nodded and a small grin at her. His shadow sat down on the couch next to her as she put the ramen on the table and sat back. "I sense an intense battle coming..." He murmured to her quietly looking out the window still.
Maki grinned broadly at Zain, "Even if one is, I'm going to help my friends and come back. I promised didn't I?"
Zain blinked in astonishment then a smile twitched at the corner of his mouth. Maki's ideals were so simplistic, simple minded, overly optimistc, and yet they seemed to be something that they could believe it. Both leaned back and stared out the midnight window at a storm that was beginning to sweep in the distance of the barren desert city.

A bright light shined on her eyelids, forcing Maki to open them and see that it was daylight back in Yzea. Jolting up, she looked around the room, Zain was gone. "I guess his time ran out again." Maki muttered, but smiled, "I was able to see him again though." Standing up and rubbing out the wrinkles in her clothing, she thought it was time to see how Thrais and Gabriel might be doing. So she headed out into the hallway.
