i have remained inactive in this guild 4 a while, and im surprised that im still a member. so to make sure i still stay a member i have created this thread to try to keep myself as an active member.
(Question) Besides that, what is the purpose of this thread?
(Answer) The purpose of this thread is to post any scientific fact that you can think of that is either strange, wierd, grose, funny, or "wth". this will also help accumulate a general understanding of the scientific, yet comedical, know how of the members of this guild.

History Fact!!!!: In real life, Gambino was the name of a mafia family! could there be a tie between our beloved Johny Gambino and the mafia?! eek This isn't a sample of scientific trivia (for shame, I know) but I could not resist since you mentioned a historical fact. I promise to introduce a scientific tidbit next time. In the beginning of December 1939, the BBC invoked more hatred in the war than Hitler himself. By the way, bonus points to those who know what a spiv is.

ok since i havent posted in a couple days im gonna post a few more facts to make up 4 it.
Sci. Fact 1: Airborn anti viral tablets are just placibos (they don't do a durn thing, i found this out from a health teacher).
Sci. Fact 2: Even though blood coagulates in water, it doesnt fully solidify because of the water providing a liquid environment for it. (i found this out when i had a drunken semi-emo moment last night sweatdrop ).
Sci. Fact 3: No molecules or atoms are ever lost during the process of combustion, they are just disburst and manipulated into different compounds (i found this out in highschool chemistry).

I can deffinatly belive that, catholics killed more people period. they killed people all the time in history, actualy if you cut out the part about the inquision, i'm sure they still killed more people.
