The name of Tōsen's zanpakutō is Suzumushi (lit. Pure Insects, Bell Bug in the Viz translation). In its regular state, Suzumushi looks like a regular katana. Its crossguard is shaped like a tear drop, and at the wide part of the teardrop are several teardrop-shaped holes. Hanging off the tear's tip is a small ring. Unlike most zanpakutō, Suzumushi has two release commands, each producing a unique automatic effect. Additionally, he is unique in that his zanpakutō was not originally his; it belonged to the unnamed friend who set him on his path.

Suzumushi's regular release command is "chime" (nake?), which has the automatic effect of projecting a high-pitched tone over a wide area, overloading the hearing of anyone in range and knocking them unconscious. Suzumushi's second release command is "smash his limbs" (shishi wo tsubusu yo?), which changes Suzumushi into its Benihikō (lit. Crimson Flying Locusts) form. Suzumushi vibrates momentarily and, after Tōsen moves the blade around him in a circle, a trail appears from the sword's path. The trail turns into hundreds of blades that rain down on his opponents.

Suzumushi's final release, named Enma Kōrogi (lit. Enma cricket),1 creates a large, black dome centered at Tōsen's location and anchored to the ground with ten rings. Anyone within the dome loses the ability to sense anything around them. The only sense they retain is that of touch. The weakness of this technique is that which makes Tōsen immune to it: Suzumushi itself. Anything touching Suzumushi's hilt is immune to the dome's effects, so anyone who is able to grab Suzumushi recovers their senses.

Notes:
History: Tōsen dedicated his life to following the path with the least bloodshed when someone special to him died. She herself followed this path and Tōsen idolized her for it, and thus made it his when she died. Her love of peace and desire not to fight, even when her husband threatened and killed her, left a deep impression on Tōsen. He took her zanpakutō upon her death and vowed that he would fight for justice without unnecessary bloodshed from then on. Shortly after, Tōsen joined the shinigami.

Tōsen met up with his good friend, Sajin Komamura, while he was still in the shinigami academy. They took to each other quickly, because at that point Komamura was ashamed of his fox head and Tōsen could not see it. Komamura joined the shinigami and they became close friends and eventually captains in the Gotei 13, though the exact details aren't known. When Aizen was still the lieutenant of the 5th Division, Tōsen was already on good terms with him.

Years later, Kenpachi Zaraki came into Seireitei and killed the former captain of the 11th Division. Ever since that day, Tōsen saw Kenpachi as a monster who served no purpose but to create chaos and would eventually break the tenuous peace of Soul Society.

Kurosaki Ichigo

User Image

Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 15-years-old
Hair: Orange
Eyes: Brown
Height: 170cm (5'7")
Weight: 60.8 kg (134lbs)
Blood Type: O
Occupation: High School Student/Licensed Substitue Shinigami

Strength: Kurosaki Ichigo's already impressive strength is greatly enhanced in his shinigami form. He is able to wield his zanpakuto, Zangetsu which stands at 1.74 meters in height with ease. Additionally a blast from Zangetsu is capable of destroying a structure several stories in height as displayed when he destroyed a portion of the Soukyoku's cross holding Kuchiki Rukia, the blast extending at least double the height of the cross (up and below and through the cliff for that matter upon which the cross was supported). In one case even fought off three lieutenants and their released zanpakutō bare-handed in rapid succession. He even shattered one of their released zanpakutō in a single punch.

Rashou
-Effortlessly blocked the axes of Jidanbou, a giant who could kill 30 Hollows with one swing of a single axe.
- In his fight with Ikkaku, he took a cut to the arm and yet was still able to overpower the 3rd Seat Shinigami and slice fully through the wall of one of the surrounding structures.
-When he and Captain Kenpachi Zaraki clashed swords for the final time, the collateral damage dealt by their swords colliding sunk skyscrapers in a ring around them.

Speed: Ichigo is skilled in the art of using shunpo or "flash steps" taught to him by Shihoin Yoruichi, known as the God of Flashsteps. Shunpo allows shinigami to move at great distances within seconds and is a captain level technique. Ichigo in his bankai, Tensa Zangetsu is able to surpass this speed and was able to able to deflect the thousands of high speed/multi-angle attacks from the blades of Kuchiki Byakuya's own bankai, thus Ichigo is given matching reflexes and agility to go with his further increased speed.
Rashou
-In Bankai, he deflected the (as quoted by Byakuya) hundreds of millions of blades of Senbonzakura Kageyoshi in seconds.

Durablity/Endurance: Well, this is a bit tricky. The highest feat of durability displayed by Ichigo is probably in episode 172 of the anime when he jumped from eight floors of a building. Though, Ichigo landed in a statisfactory posistion he still hit the bottom floor pretty hard, landing on his rear end. Alas this was a NON-CANONCAL FILLER. However as far as canoncal material goes Ichigo was knocked into a mountain by Ururu hard enough to cause impact, though he was braced by Tessai who took the blunt of the force. But Ichigo is stronger than Tessai now so he's probably able to withstand that force at the least. Yet, we know that Ichigo is still prone to being slashed by another shinigami's zanpakuto.
Rashou
-In the battle against Renji Abarai the first attack dealt to him after Renji revealed his Shikai forced him back through a wall and left him with a head wound he suffere d through the battle.
-In the same battle he was slashed by Renji's Shikai several times, though Yoruichi pointed out after the battle that the Hollow Mask he had absorbed a deal of the damage.
-Ikkaku cut his arm and Ichigo was still able to swing Zangetsu full force with the wound.
- He fought for five days and five nights with Urahara for their training session (he mentions this after Ishida asks him about his training during the Jidanbou fight) which shows an incredible endurance.

Intelligence: Ichigo is also a capable student, ranked at 23 of 322 in his school. While this freaked out Keigo Asano at first (he feared Ichigo was turning into a nerd), Ichigo notes that he regularly studies and doesn't neglect his schoolwork, most likely due to the fact that he has nothing better to do at home as he states himself. Many people tend to misjudge him based on his unusual (but natural) hair color, so he works hard to overcome their misconceptions.

Fighting Skill: Ichigo has been trained in martial arts since he was a small child, both professionally and by his father's constant assaults and surprise attacks when at home. He regularly fought and defeated bullies and gangsters when in high school, and was a better martial artist than even Tatsuki, the second-strongest high school girl in Japan, before they were in middle school. Ichigo can possesses the skills to fight a shinigami of captain calibur skill level despite the fact that Ichigo himself possesses no such title. According to Aizen and Urahara, Ichigo's most astounding ability is his growth rate: he grasps the basic control of advanced techniques in days where it might take someone else weeks or years. One example is the final release of his zanpakutō, which he learns in three days while a normal shinigami would require hundreds of years of combat experience and at least ten additional years of special training to learn the same thing. It should be noted, however, that he used a special device designed by Urahara to accelerate the process. He also quickly gains mastery of flash steps while training with Yoruichi. Ichigo relies mostly on his zanpakutō and the use of flash steps, and thus would be considered a swordsmanship specialist.

Techniques: In shikai, Zangetsu's special ability is the getsuga tenshō (月牙天衝, lit. moon sky-piercing fang), which fires concentrated energy blasts from the tip of the blade in the shape of a crescent moon. Ichigo uses this ability without knowing its name several times, but masters the technique later on when he discovers its name. As stated by Zangetsu, knowing and not knowing the name of an attack makes a difference in the amount of power that it releases. The bankai, "final release" of Zangetsu, named Tensa Zangetsu (天鎖斬月, lit. heavenly chains moon cutter), is considered completely out of the ordinary for any zanpakutō. Unlike most final releases, which usually create some sort of massive creature or effect, Ichigo's final release actually shrinks his sword down to a nodachi (Japanese long sword) with a black blade, a handguard in the shape of the manji (which is the kanji for "ban," meaning "full"), and a short chain dangling as the blade's tassel, which replaces the cloth from its initial release form. In addition to his sword, Ichigo's robe is replaced with a long-sleeved, ankle-length black coat with red lining that is closed at his chest, much like that of Zangetsu himself. As explained by Byakuya Kuchiki, Ichigo's final release is a compression of his power, rather than a vast expansion as other final releases are. This hugely compressed power enables Ichigo to move at speeds exceeding those of flash steps, and gives him matching agility and reflexes, allowing him to use his natural strength to its limits. This form doesn't gain any additional special abilities, but it does possess an improved, black version of getsuga tenshō. In addition to the change in color, the black getsuga tenshō is much stronger and its path can be willfully controlled by Ichigo. The move was first displayed by Ichigo's inner hollow, and initially carried the risk of causing his inner hollow to surface if used too much. With Ichigo's later control over his inner hollow, this is no longer a problem.

Hollow powers
Ichigo's powers are not limited to just shinigami abilities; he possesses hollow powers as a result of his training with Urahara. Because he had to temporarily become a hollow (at least partially) to awaken his shinigami powers, he possesses a hollow spirit within him.At different points in the series, Ichigo's hollow powers have manifested themselves in different ways. Initially, Ichigo's hollow mask would appear on his body to block fatal blows, which Ichigo never noticed until after the fact. During his battle with Byakuya Kuchiki, the mask appeared on his face when he was near death, allowing his inner hollow to take over until Ichigo suppressed it. The same event is repeated multiple times after that, though Ichigo's ability to suppress it got quicker each time. Eventually, Ichigo's ability to suppress his hollow got quick enough that he could suppress it almost instantly. However, doing so left him effectively paralyzed during such periods, since his concentration was focused on suppressing it rather than fighting. While his inner hollow is dominant, Ichigo is able to ignore any current injuries and becomes far faster and stronger than normal. The arrancar Ulquiorra has claimed that Ichigo's hollow-enhanced strength is even greater than his own when berserk, but fluctuates widely; Ichigo's fluctuations were the primary reason why he let Ichigo survive their first encounter.
While he was in training with the vizard, Ichigo's physical body was completely overcome by his inner hollow for a short period, causing his body to completely transform into a hollow. As a full hollow, Ichigo demonstrated several high-level abilities, including instantaneous regeneration, enhancement of limbs, and the ability to fire cero blasts from his fingers. However, this form didn't last long as Ichigo emerged from the hollow shell as his standard shinigami self. After training with the vizard and subjugating his inner hollow, Ichigo can use his hollow mask while retaining his personality, but only for eleven seconds at a time.[5] During this transformation, his hollow powers supplement his shinigami powers, giving him a vast increase in both strength and speed.

Hmm, that's good. Though I have to say something about Ichigo's durability. He has shown great durability before. In fact, he has a technique for it. He hasn't named it, but what he does is that he rapidly generates a massive amount of spiritual energy and then quickly wraps it around himself. He's done this several number of times, but it's only noted in his final fight with the Bounto Kariya.

Yeah, but I'm not so sure that should count since it's
a technique for one and two while does increase his durability
I don't think it was intended for that purpose. Furthermore,
since it is a the effects of a technique one could compare it
to Captain America's durability v. Captain America's shield's
durability.

If Superman were to take a full force blow at Captain America's
shield it would remain in tact and thus, Cap would remain
completely unharmed from Supes' punch.

On the other hand if Cap himself took a punch from the Man of Steel,
chances are he'd be dead.

This is similar, this technique doesn't define what Ichigo himself
could withstand as it kind of acts as paraphernalia to a degree.

That is assinine! If you say that, then you could just as easily say that Superman's durability doesn't count either because without his Kryptonian powers, he's just as weak as a human.
Or that Iron Man's doesn't count either because without his suit of metal he's obviously just be another human.
And etc. and etc.
Ichigo's ability to expend mass amounts of Spiritual energy in creative ways is what makes him so unique in Bleach. If you take a part of him and say it doesn't count, the whole point of summing up his strength in the first place is completely lost.

Wrong.

As for the Ironman issue, most people actually DO say that
as they do with Batman, Green Arrow, Nightwing, Hawkeye,
The Punisher, and any other hero who doesn't have any
powers.

Superman's durability is a part of him because he is indeed a
Kryptonian in the first place and you just can't take that away
from him and he doesn't even have to activate it in the first
place unlike Ichigo with bracing himself with his reiatsu.
Superman's durability is Superman's durability no ifs ands or
buts about it. It's just as much a part of his overall durability
as his skin is to his flesh and bones.

The aforementioned technique of Ichigo's doesn't count
in his overall durability because it is indeed more of a
technique and it's exactly like when Magneto creates
a magnetic field around himself to shield himself from
enemy attacks on the caliber of Silver Surfer, nuclear
warheads and what-have-you.

Take the following excerpt about Magneto's Magnetic Force-Fields:

Quote:
Magneto usually protects himself with a personal force field that he can quickly expand to protect large areas. His force field has withstood the effects of multiple nuclear weapons, volcanic eruption, the depths of space and attacks from multiple Avengers or X-Men, including Phoenix, Thor, and even Galactus.

This means that he can only endure these things ONLY AND
ONLY when the force field is active otherwise a straight punch from
Thor with nothing back would likely kill him.

You can say the same thing about the technique you mentioned belonging
to Kurosaki Ichigo.

Shihouin Yoruichi
User Image

Race: Shinigami
Gender: Female
Age: Unknown
Hair: Purple
Eyes: Yellow
Height: 156cm (5'1")
Weight: 42kg (92.6lbs)
Blood Type:
Occupation: Former Supreme Commander of the Keigun Brigade of the First Division and Former Commander of the Division of Special Operations.

Strength: Shihouin Yoruichi has shown that she is capable of lifting someone the size and weight of the 10th ranked Espada Yammy, who is at least 2 to 3 feet above her own size and exceeds her weight by at least 200lbs+ with just one hand. Yammy himself is capable of overpowering Sado's initial Right Arm of the Giant which itself was capable of breaking through a wall about 4 to 5 feet thick and destroying a small structure about 2 stories high as depicted below. Since, Yammy himself effortlessy overpowered Yasutora "Chad" Sado's Right Arm of the Giant, Yammy is probably able to withstand enough force to destroy a wall four to five feet thick at least. That said, since Yoruichi actually generated enough force to break through Yammy's endurance we can assume that the capabilities of Yoruichi's punches and kicks exceed that of her actual pressing ability. It's also probably safe to assume that Yoruichi is also capable of producing enough force to destroy a wall four to five feet thick if not a bit more since Yammy withstood and overpowered Sado's attack whereas she did considerable damage to Yammy. However, it should also be noted that it took Yoruichi four strikes to floor Yammy.

User Image
The wall is about four to five feet thick since it looks to be around the length of Ise Nanao who is 5'4" herself.
User Image
User Image
It should be noted that since this is a building, the inside is mostly hollow space, however the walls of the structure are probably equal to that of the wall in the depiction above.

Speed: Yoruichi is likely the fastest character in the Bleach Universe excluding Ichigo using Tensa Zangetsu. Shihouin Yoruichi is also known as Shunshin Yoruichi (Goddess/God of Flash Yoruichi) due to the fact that she's considered the paradigm of shunpo (the kanji for "shun" in shunpo is the same as that used in "Shunshin"). Shunpo itself is by no means an exceptional skill as most seated officers are capable of performing it to various degrees, however, Yoruichi has mastered it to the point where she is capable of taking out entire special forces squadrons within moments and appear to be in multiple places simultaneously, though likely within close proximity. She is also exceeds even Kuchiki Byakuya whom is also noted for his own use of shunpo as he has never caught her in a game of tag when they were children, what's more, Yoruichi was able to escape Byakuya while carrying an unconscious Ichigo over her shoulders. She was able to execute about 200 steps maximum before losing her breath which can likely be credited to the fact that she hasn't been in combat and likely in her human form for at least 100 years, thus she's a bit out of practice.

User Image
User Image

Durablity/Endurance: Yoruichi's durability is rather questionable to a degree as she hasn't been in many fights throughout the storyline, her most notable to date still dating back to the Soul Society chapters against her former student, subordinate, and bodyguard Soifon (presently the captain of Squad 2). Granted the modus operandi; both women are melee fighters for the most part, this was not a hard hitting fight. In fact, for the most part Yoruichi and Soifon successfully blocked each other's strikes. That said, the other noteworthy fight Yoruichi has had was her brief brawl against the Espada Yammy. While Yoruichi did indeed dominate the fight she also suffered injuries to her left arm and leg, though she did mention she still had no problem executing conventional daily tasks such a walking and eating.

Intelligence: Science isn't very heavy in Soul Society itself and what little there is, is exclusive to the Shinigami Research Institute of Technology under the 12th Division of the 13 Court Guardian Squads which Yoruichi herself has nothing to do with. If anything, Yoruichi is an expert combat tactician being the former commander of 2nd Division of the 13 Court Guardian Squads which specializes in special forces. She is also responsible for training Ichigo in the use of shunpo and although it was with the aid of one of Urahara Kisuke's inventions, she help Ichigo achieve bankai in three days. She's also the responsible for training the current special forces commander, Soifon, as well Yasutora Sado and Inoue Orihime in the earlier stages of the Soul Society Arc prior to entering Seireitei. Needless to say, she isn't by any means "stupid" as she does possess common sense as any person of conventional average intelligence would possess. Noteworthy, is her ability to observe in combat situations as she seems to have a firm grasp on her opponent's abilities if not at least gauge their overall strength whether she's in combat herself or simply watching from the sidelines.

Fighting Skill:
Yoruichi is likely by far the best melee fighter within the entire Bleach Universe. Though she does possess a zanpakuto as all shinigami do, the name, shikai, bankai, and the effects are all unknown because Yoruichi simply doesn't use it, instead relying upon melee style combat, "Shunko", and [j]"shunpo". In fact, Yoruichi is only shown briefly using her zapakuto in Soifon's flashback depicting how she came under Yoruichi's tutelage. She is the former commander of the 13 Court Guardian Squad's special forces; 2nd Division which specializes in melee combat and thus it is no surprise that she is exceptionally skilled in hand-to-hand combat surpassing even Soifon, the current special forces commander. In fact, it was Yoruichi herself who taught Soifon more or less anything she knows and what few remaining skills she didn't teach Soifon, Yoruichi has already excelled in them such as "Shunko". Furthermore, Yoruichi defeated her former disciple despite being 100 years out of practice. Not only has Yoruichi trained Soifon, but she's also trained Kurosaki Ichigo, Yasutora "Chad" Sado, and Inoue Orihime in various to some degree or another further proving Yoruichi as an exceptional combatant of master caliber.

Techniques: As stated above Yoruichi is well versed in the use of "shunpo" an holds the title of "Shunshin" because she excels at it better than any other person who is capable of using it. However, due to the fact that she hasn't been in combat for at least 100 years and not in her human form, but in the guise of a black cat, she is able to perform a maximum of 200 steps before exhaustion starts to set in. The other notable technique Yoruichi has mastered is "Shunko", a technique that combines melee style combat with kido, magic techniques used within the Bleach Universe. Shunko concentrates spiritual power at the back and shoulders for enhanced speed and increased attack power. In fact, Shunko also concentrates high-pressure kido energy around the entire body, allowing it to be fired at opponents. It can also be used to instantly neutralize an opponent's movement.
