Ya know, I don't think I've seen anyone discussing any video games in this guild....which is odd....cause well, this is the otaku lounge...
Anyway, for those of you who are video game fans, and even for those who aren't *shrug* (I dunno gotta be fair to everyone) go ahead and list your favorite game, whether it be RPG, first person shooter, or what have you. If it's anime related that's even better. Other questions you can address is:
How long have you been playing video games?
What types of games do you prefer?
Which games have you played?
Which game are you looking to play next?
uhhhh.....it's too early in the morning for me to think of any other questions, anyway discuss!

I'm not that much of a gamer, but I do enjoy playing every now and then, I've played first person shooters like Far Cry (I died so many times) and Halo on PC, the majority of the games I've played have been RPGs. I like the FF series, I played FFVII over the course of 3 years, and some of FFVIII. I've been stuck on FFX since the summer before last...I just can't get past this one boss and it bugs the heck out of me....I've played KH, some of KH2, and I've been playing KH Chain of Memories, I've also played Zelda Windwaker. Lets see....I really like Katamari, and the theme usually gets stuck in my head, and Brian, you are no help when that happens either....hmm.....one of the games I would like to get next is We Love Katamari.

yeah i know, i ended with old systems, but dreamcast is teh bestest dude! : D and super nintendo... thats what i grew up with having..heh heh . i want a wii...but i need a job first... and i will wait for the new BLEACH game for the wii to come out in america! ( it just came out in japan, and you swing the remote around like a real zanpakuto... ITS SOOOOOOOO COOOOL!!!) heart

geeze, I forgot all about soul caliber....I really like that game...actually, I like fighting games in general, as long as they're console games, the arcade versions are rather difficult for me to play.
I also forgot about DDR....how could I forget DDR? I have 3 of the games + something similar to that called Dance Factory....

I've been a gamer my whole life so I have a lot of favorites. I'll skip the "retro" games though.
Xbox: Halo, Halo 2, Unreal Championship, Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2
PS2: Katamari Damacy, We <3 Katamari, Guitar Hero 1 & 2, Xenosaga, Star Wars Battlefront 1 & 2
N64: Super Smash Bros., Goldeneye
Playstation: FFVIII, FFIX
Computer: Starcraft, Age of Empires 1 & 2, Diablo 1 & 2, Neverwinter Nights
And plenty more. Those are just off the top of my head right now. I like role-playing games a lot though. Neverwinter Nights is definitely one of my favorite games right now. 3nodding

I'm still a huge fan of the old-school FF games.... I was really happy when FF2&3 was released for the GB models. I also like the more obscure GB FFs, like FF Adventure. It played a little like Legend of Zelda (which is also an amazing series!). Plus the plot? Fantastic. whee
It's been a looong time since I was up-to-date with consoles, though. Like ... maybe 1990? Oi. sweatdrop

I just picked up Sonic Mega collection + for the PS2 whee!
Sega Genesis was the first well known video game system my dad bought for my brother and myself, and we got it when the systems were already $50. The Sonic games were the first ones we played on that stystem so they have sentimental value. We gave the system away to relatives like....a couple years ago so we couldnt play the games anymore. So I am quite pleased to have the chance to play them again. *goes to play*
