Wasabi needs another anime series to watch. He just finished watching Fate/Stay Night and Outlaw Star and needs more entertainment. 3nodding

Just in case you were wondering, I've seen all that "american anime" crap already. mad

I was trying to decide on either Azumanga daiyoh or Saiyuki... neutral

If you have any suggestions for me, just keep my taste in mind- i like action/adventure series as well as the funny ones. 3nodding No shojo crap please. gonk After watching Ceres and all that junk, my brain's fed up with it. mad

I don't know if i like saiyuki or not yet, so I really can't give a recommendation for it... I mean, the dub does sound really lazily done, like the voice actors were lazy and the SFX people went crazy with effects making it all sound hollow, and the story doesn't sound too epic and anime-ish as of yet, but I've only seen like 7 episodes, so I don't know if it gets better... I have it all in english, but haven't had the time to watch it.

Do you know which saiyuki it is? Because there's like...3 or 4 different saiyukis. neutral rofl And does it follow the storyline in the manga? confused ninja

I think it's the original Saiyuki. That's all it says in the title. I don't know much about the story though. Though Haruki has seen more than me.

Well the saiyuki is the one that is the predacessor to Saiyuki reload, I believe, however, it does seem as though something might come before it, but I'm not sure, maybe some of these plot holes might be filled later...

And I've never read the manga.

rofl That plot hole thing was silly. rofl

I watched an episode of it... it wasn't bad. after i finish azumanga i might watch it. surprised

The manga isn't that bad. there are just quite a few of them. once or twice i had to return one because i'd forgotten which saiyuki i was reading at the time. sweatdrop "was i on volume 5 or Reload? or was i on 5 of the old one???? or was it volume 7?! CRap! *buys #6*" lol

Yeah, I can't hardly remember where I am in the series I'm reading...

But, I guess I'll have to continue watching saiyuki, see where it leads me.

Papuwa Island is Hilarious (at least I think so XD) I don't know your style so not sure there.

Saiyuki is very good in manga form, but I have yet to watch it in anime form.. I have heard it was very good though.

Not sure if you have seen Wolf's Rain or Witch Hunter Robin yet, both short animes, but very well done. I am half way through Wolf's Rain myself, but I still enjoy it.

Tsubasa Chronicles is a spin from XxXHolic and Cardcaptor Sakura, but different to Cardcaptors in theme. The characters are familiar, but they play different roles and the plot is intriguing, yet my tastes and your tastes may differ greatly.

Look into them if you like, otherwise sorry I wasn't helpful smile
