You see I cannot be forsaken
Because I'm not the only one
We walk amongst you
Feeding, raping
Must we hide from everyone
My fear is fading
I can't speak it
Or else you will dig my grave

Our Plot: There is a story to everything. Even if we don't want there to be one, there is, sadly. Every single one has a beginning, middle and an end.
We have yet to see an end and this has been going on for far too long.
Pale skin, long fangs, not being able to tolerate sunlight and a thirst for blood gave us the labels of minions of the devil. Yes, most of us are not the best person to meet in the dark alleyways, but others are the opposite, seeing you creatures as little hairless animals that need some love and affection, turning you all into pets eventually. Others might keep you around but only for a snack.
There is one writer who brought interest to the human race, for me anyway. Her name is Anne Rice. She's written a number of interesting novels about witches and vampires and other such topics that hold some or many similarities. She gave us a better name to the humans. Most who hated or feared us now wish one of us would swoop in and steal them from the beds at night to bring them into a whole new world. How do I know this? It's happened to one of us. She had told the food too much about us and it resulted in her execution, the food too. Not like it wasn't going to happen eventually.
Because of this Anne there were movies about us played by some famous actors. The only problem is that she made most of the characters too kind towards the humans. The one who was more along the lines of correct was that Marius and Lestat, otherwise not so much. But it has brought up vampires in daily conversations, I'm happy to say.
But enough about her, more about us. Most of us live a little while out of New York. We ended up following the stereotypes and managed to stay in a decomposing building, coffins in the basement. It's nice and rather cozy. Sure, there were rats, but they could be used as food also.
Eventually we migrated into the city for some better, quicker feeding. We located ourselves in a nice average house. Trying to stay low as we fed. Of course though, there has to be some of us that just have to break the rules...
