Masatake concentrates his chakra into a shield infront of him that is a fait blue. This jutsu is used as a counter against other offensive ninjutsus only. As an opponets jutsu comes in contact with the jutsu the "shield" absorbs the chakra in the technique and sends it back right at them. However Masatake has to match the exact same amount of chakra that was used for the jutsu.

Japanese name: Kawarimi no Jutsu
English name: Body Replacement Technique

This is a technique that usually confuses the attacker. The user quickly projects themselves with another nearby object such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, leaving the opponent open to a counter-attack.
In the anime, a straw man bundle, a boulder, mud, and even a scarecrow has been used as a Body Substitute Jutsu, though this may not be considered canon by few fans.

English name: Clone Technique

This is a basic technique taught to ninja at an academy. In certain years, Ninja are required to know this jutsu in order to advance to the Genin level. Bunshin no Jutsu creates one or more clones of the user, which can be used as a means to create a diversion, distraction, or cause confusion. Unlike Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Shadow Doppelganger), these illusory clones will simply disappear if come into contact, thus, they are substanceless, and cannot do anything to damage the opponent.

The user utilizes the sheep hand seal or the tiger hand seal and concentrates their chakra to assume the appearance of another person, an animal, or even any object. This is one of the required basic jutsu taught at the Ninja Academy. Fundamentally, all ninja know(or know of) this technique.

Japanese name: Konoha Senpū
English name: Leaf Whirlwind
Type: Offensive
This Jutsu is mainly a set-up one, and consists of kicking the opponent high into the air, thus leaving them vulnerable to a subsequent more powerful attack (usually Kage Buyō, Shadow of the Dancing Leaf).

Character Description: Reiko is a cute but fairly average looking young girl. She has short, usually messy black hair, and amber eyes. She normally wears a black shirt, black pants, black nin sandals and a white belt. Her shirt has the characters for "energy" written on the back in yellow. Her ninja-to, a gift from her father, is always by her side. She also wears small golden hoop earings, gifts from her mother.

Bright pink light mixed with the faint yellow on the horizon beamed through all windows in the village. A new day like any other was brought to life as farmers started to work in the fields. Even most lay asleep a few chosen were going to me awake a little earlier then they had expected. A sudden thud on your bedroom window awoke you, and then you fully realize that you are awake by a small shriek. "Thank you Mister Hawk!" Reiko called out as she took the message and read it. "Lessee, I should probably get there soon. I'll just get my things together and have breakfast and then I'll be on my way."

Reiko quickly assembled her gear and, after having some food, took off towards the area marked on the map.

"Yep!" Masa called out from an unseen posistion. "They should be ariving any minute now. start up some breakfast. The first climb up should work up a hunger."

Masa said, leisurely laying on a tree branch and reading a book.

"You're a sadistic little man, you know that? Those kinds of tests are only for self-righteous stuck up little punks who never think things through. Let them all the way up without messin with them. I got a different exam for them."
