Do you have an outside role-play that is in desperate need of players?
Are you bored since all of them seem to be inactive?
Fed up with waiting on others to post?

Advertise your RPs to attract more people here!

This is a very good idea. 3nodding I don't have any originals, but I do have a Naruto RP to advertise. I'll make another Sticky in the Fandom RP forum.

NAME: Sorrows Eternal Fire
GENTRE: romance; adventure; fantasy
LITERACY: Semi-Literate at least
PLOT: Many years ago, in the land of Kemal, a great war came into being. The four great races of the land fought each other. To the south lay the Angels. To the north were the humans. To the west were Fey. To the east were the demons. Fortunately a single entity stopped the war. It was a dragon but not just any dragon. This was a silver dragon. After discovering the cause of the war, the cancellation of marriage contracts between the royals, the dragon solved their problem. Each family had had the joy of having 3 children at that time. Granting their family’s with 5 children, it was decided that once the youngest child reached the age of 16, all 5 children would come to her home at the center of Kemal.

As the years moved on, darkness came and overtook the land. It sought the silver dragon but could not find her. The darkness finally decided to place itself in a mortal body and sought the silver dragon. No one knows who he is or in what body he chose.

The last child has finally reached the age of 16 and the royals of each race are keeping their vow. Instead of 5 children though, there are 6 in each family. Each of their groups move from their kingdom to the center of their land.
NUMBER OF PEOPLE NEEDED: 20!!!!!!
OTHER: Need to think Long term please!!!

I'll make a character for this one too, though it'll take a bit longer, seeing as I have to read everyone else's posts first.

I tend to join a lot of roleplays. The only reason I'm not joining the other one is because I'm not very good with romance. sweatdrop

NAME: Paradisio the Playing of Pawns
GENTRE: Modern fantasy; sins and virtues
LITERACY: Literate
PLOT: For too long Lucifer, the fallen angel, the one who first dared to defy God, has played this game. For too long he has warred with the Heavens behind the scenes, working to end the influence of the Almighty Father so that he might shape the world in his own image. Mankind has, by and large, lived on blissfully unaware of the true dark powers that could swallow them whole at any minute. Lucifer has grown tired of this stalemated game of chess. He grows weary of being cautious and now, as if to further defy his former master, Lucifer sends his most powerful pawns, the Seven Deadly Sins, out into the world in the guise of humans.

His goal? To lure out God’s own pieces, to bring the key players out into the open so that the game may end once and for all.

Set in the city of Las Vegas Nevada, the Sins currently live out their ‘lives’ as if human… working various jobs inside the Paradisio Hotel and Casino. This recently constructed hotel looks like a grand gothic cathedral, dark exterior lit up with exquisite neon lighting that looks like stained glass windows. Of course there are many floors to this hotel, the structure reaching up as if to extend into Heaven itself.

With the Sins roaming the world freely, the Heavens cannot rest. While Las Vegas may be small, the Lord cannot stand to watch so many souls darken in sin. The Seven Divine Virtues have been sent to Las Vegas, human as the Sins are, to put an end to this once and for all.

Will the Sins drag the Virtues into darkness? Will the light burn away the unholy? Or will these pawns, out from under their masters for the first time in millennia, start a new life... and defy it all? Will the trappings of humanity corrupt… or perhaps redeem these individuals?

NUMBER OF PEOPLE NEEDED: 7, 2 sins and 5 virtues
OTHER: Long term. biggrin

NAME: Twilight Star
GENTRE: Medieval Elemental Roleplay
LITERACY: Literate / Advanced
PLOT: At the very beginning of time, when men first walked the earth, 8 strangers came to the land of the Rising Sun. A combination of men and women, they journeyed to each of the corners of the island, visiting the many war lords reigning over the area. One stayed with each of the seven great lords, and the last went to the kingdom Tarvala, in the middle. They all became known for the element they each represented; Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Ice, Darkness, and Light. The last one, the man who had stayed with the Kingdom Tarvala, became known as the Twilight Prince, since he was obviously the leader of the group.
Not even a week after they came, a great calamity fell over the land. Demons and monsters escaped from the Other World, and proceeded to destroy the land. The 8 warriors, together known as the Twilight Stars, joined together in an effort to stop the monsters and drive them back to their original world.
Though heroic, their efforts cost them their own lives. Just before dying, the Twilight Prince said to the great lords not to worry, because after a few years they would be reborn in new bodies, and continue to watch over the land of the Rising Sun, in case the demons returned. Though grieving, the lords remembered the Prince’s last words, and started a search for the Twilight Stars five years later.
Now it is the 15th year of Meiji, over a millennia has passed since the Twilight Stars came to Japan. Over time, the Stars got mixed up with the demons, until all believed that they had been the ones to send the demons to their land. Searches were sent out for the Stars, not to honour them, but to kill or capture them. Considered the most dangerous of all was the Twilight Prince, this time a Princess. After managing to kill the 7 Elementals, they went after the Princess, a young woman named Irano. Upon learning that they were after her, she locked herself in her home and killed herself, after praying for the next reincarnations to have some way to redeem themselves in the eyes of the public. That was 25 years ago. Now, with the search out again, no one knows who the current Twilight Stars are, but that isn’t stopping them from upturning whole villages to find them…
NUMBER OF PEOPLE NEEDED: 1 more Elemental, more regular characters
OTHER: Any regular characters have a chance of being chosen as the Twilight Prince/ss later on!

NAME: Cipher: City of the Damned
GENTRE: Hm... Sci-fi/Mystery?
LITERACY: Literate
PLOT: Ingleview was a quiet city. Ordinary law abiding citizens, doing every day things that simple people do. No one fought, or stole, no one ever lied or cheated. The divorce rate was extremely low- it was almost unheard of. Children could play outside in the streets until the early morning and never once did their parents have to worry about them being kidnapped or stolen away. Families left their front doors unlocked and open to let in fresh air all over the city.

No one ever suspected or could have thought that beneath the calm and peaceful exterior of that city, lingered a long deep seated hatred. Burning and twisting in pain unspeakable, souls damned by the acts of a single mind, lay tormented by the mystery that surrounded their curios deaths. Swelling and growing in mass these passings numbered in the hundreds, and still no one ever brought it up, for even a word spoken of crime in such a naive place- would surely bring an uproar of panic and chaos.

Forgotten, silenced, these poor souls festered and grew more malicious in the passing years, their spirits filled with a madness that was incurable. Walking the earth with out a purpose, seeking a revenge that would never come, and growing ever more insane in every plane imaginable. Unable to find their final resting place, the damned began to turn on the living.

Long since dead, these poor memories rose from their tortured graves and began milling about, causing accidents, even killing. The numbers of deaths grew increasingly, ranging in the thousands. Finally, the breaking point came, and even the souls that had recently passed began slaughtering all that came in contact with them; Searching restlessly for the ones who caused their pain, and started this endless cycle.

It wasn't until the very last living soul within the city died, that the killing actually stopped. There was no where for them to go, no rest for their plagued existence. For once the cries and screams of the tormented had ceased in the city that had been deemed " Damned" and not a single person in any surrounding area knew of what had happened, nor did they question why such a peaceful place had all of a sudden simply, just stopped living.

More than One hundred and fifty years had passed, since that city had life, the buildings old and glass shattered from people who thought they could break into them without paying a price, and just like the rest, they died too for their sins. One day- a day like any other, the air changed within' Ingleview, the fog thickened and became more so choking, an awkward color red haze tainting the world around this once beautiful place.

The city, that land, was alive.

Throbbing, churning, full of wants. The land called out across the country, begging for help. A chilling air drew over towns even at the farthest reach of this little city. No one knew of Ingleview, but soon, they would never forget it.

They wanted nothing more than to rest, nothing more then to stop their endless roaming. To have their revenge upon the people who hid their lives from the eyes of all who should have known. Justice. Justice against those who had wronged them. And so with that festering hatred, their power grew strong enough to send a message to the living- a cry for help.

All souls, trapped in this city, say the same thing before they kill their victims, the same woeful scrambled words. Psychics across the world will tell you that perhaps the souls are simply not strong enough to gather their words into coherent thoughts, sometimes repeating a few choice things they remember from their lives, over and over again, but one thing is for certain, that this phrase was not created in death, but after death had come. One thing, stands clear within these garbled fragments of false life, a word reminiscent of the past, the only coherent piece of information in those sentences left for the living to decipher as they pass from their world, into that of the damned. NAME: { The Sweepers }
GENTRE: Modern Fantasy.
LITERACY: Literate to Adv.
PLOT: So let’s take a detour, a stroll down memory lane.

It started over a hundred years ago. Vampires existed long before things like the government, CIA and FBI existed. These elite walkers of the night lived as they believed ‘-just like humans do.’ They killed occasionally for their food, kept the upper class appearance and of course, remained in the night for centuries for their own safety. And with time, their existence began to blur. Save for those who kept a record, an alliance with them, if you will. They were called guardian angels of the night and the watchmen over women and children; the innocent. Generation after generation they were the arm bearers of strength working hand in hand, using one another to gain a step further in survival and with it bonds of friendship grew having to trust in one another at certain times of the day.

It wasn’t anything out of the ordinary so long as they stayed on each other’s good sides, but now the vampire’s lineage is slowly coming to a halt. Because immortality is a lie. They don’t live forever, just longer and the sweepers who know of their kind are at their ends as well.

Time changes everything…

And with it a new headship had begun. New leaders who don’t trust one another have cut the ties with friendship between the night and day. Silly power heads, always interfering with the good things in life. We already know how it all will end if things continue, once the emotion and resources burn out and the graves consume the land it’ll be all too late.

But the story starts now with you my little sweepers. You have been ordered to kill them. You’re once so called comrades. And negligence to do so will result in the loss of your life. The decisions you make matter because it’s not about saving the world to some, but simply surviving through the night.

And so it begins.. Ten years later…

When one single lie can uproot the foundations of a bond that was too premature.
NUMBER OF PEOPLE NEEDED: Just one. We need a Walker. Visit the page to find out more info.
OTHER: It's a Long-Term, but this story will have an ending. So it doesn't last forever!

NAME: GENERATION

GENRE: Futuristic, virtual gaming

LITERACY: Literate to Advanced Literate

PLOT: The world never stays the same; it is always changing and the world of 2040 is much like that. This is a world where gamers are coming back and beginning to take over the world again, and often those with real jobs are wishing they weren't here. In a world where everyone wants to be someone else, escapism has become a very popular ideal.

This is what companies like Japan's 'Sensation' have based their success on: reating games where people could just forget it all. In the last three months Sensation signed the biggest game designer in the World, the mysterious Hank Marks. It was his game that was going to make them millions.
However, -Generation- had a mind of its own.

As one of ten lucky people chosen to play -Generation- the story of the gaming world is only beginning.

NUMBER OF PEOPLE NEEDED: Erm... I forget how many slots are open ._. At least six, I'd say.

OTHER: Generation has already been run, and died, twice before, so we are looking for dedicated, long-term rpers.

The reason I didn't link the title is because there isn't an actual thread at the moment. To get to the most recent incarnation of GENERATION, go here. To get to the OOC and Rewrite thread, go here.
