Forgive me if this is less than eloquent, but I've been thinking for a few days that a thread like this might be a good thing. I know a lot of you have ideas for what we can do for our guild, what our guild can do for its members, and what we can all do for every body else--et cetera.
Do you think we have everything we need on this guild? Do you think we need other things? What do you consider our strengths? What do you consider our weaknesses?
Do you think we should have more sub-forums? If so, what kind? What would you be interested in talking about?
Lately, I've been trying to send "Welcome Messages" to the users whom I admit into the guild. If I can, I try to make them more personal by looking through their Profiles, requests to join, signatures, and always, let them know that we're open to any ideas, or that if they need help, we'll try to do all we can do. What do you think of this idea?
I was also thinking that, maybe, we could give new members, like, a little "Gift Basket" of items or something. I don't know what, but, if you have any ideas or comments, post here!
I think this is a great guild, and would like to know what the rest of you think and how we can make it even better for our members.
I have some ideas myself, and if you ladies have any of your own, please say so, and we'll post them up here and get some things done!

Hmm, I think we should have little things to encourage people to become more active. I've been trying to be more active lately. Maybe something like...Games and competitions, maybe? That's all that I can think of for now, though. 3nodding

I just want to have ladies guild threads in events. It would be fun and we can discuss issues there.
Hmm it would be cool to have like giveaways. Perhaps like writing or art contests?

Yeah, I think that competitions and give-aways sound like great ways to encourage members to be just a little more active in the guild. We all have lives beyond Gaia and the guild, and we all understand what it's like to be busy and unable to include one's self in the guild--our goal is really to encourage our pre-existing members to be active and interested in the guild when they are on Gaia.
Obviously the "Last Words" game that we already have here is quite popular. Maybe we could have an exclusive forum for games and competitions?
As for competitions and contests, I love the idea of writing and art contests. I think we have a lot of members here who are really, really creative and artistic, so we should really tap that resource.
Also, I still really like the Ladies' Guild Threads in events, Lauren. We've got one coming up, so maybe we should get together to start planning out a little thread for the St. Patrick's Day Event? I really don't think it would be hard to put together.

I already had ideas for those two other subforums, but they didn't seem to win any attention... That, and I don't think we had enough gold at the time...
Unfortunately, I really don't know what to do... I'm not that active on Gaia, so I don't know what members might like... But we do need to encourage our members to be more regular.
You take it away ladies... I have no clue what to do... Sorry... -_-'

I liked your subforum ideas, actually. I think they'd be great additions and we'd get a lot of use out of them. I owe you, Skully, for starting that thread to begin with, to getting the idea of putting this thread of my own up. If you guys want, I'll buy some new sub-forums and set them up now, while I have the time.

I bought new subforums, and I'm slowly working on putting them together, with rules and guidelines, and everything. What do you guys think? I did the current ones while I pulled an all-nighter. Have you read them?

So, that other day I was invited to join this guild called "Why Not". I was exploring it when I found this thing they were doing called the "Tektek Prom of 2007".
Basically what happens is everyone tekteks a prom outfit and put's it in their siggy, and them we open up a subforum, and then we party and tektek each other and win things and virtually dance together.
I liked the idea.

Nice! I'm not sure about the prom as the specific excuse, but I really, really like the idea of having a guild-wide event to celebrate! And, like you said Takalian, we should dress up our avatars for it, too. Maybe we could put it on Midsummer or something?
We could have a theme role play in the Role Playing Subforum. I'm already planning on starting a thread in there--when it's opened, with a Masque Ball in a more serious setting.
Ooh, and we could hold TekTek competitions in the Games and Competitions Subforum, and raise awareness with the Universal TekTek Thread in this forum...
Lol, I dunno. I'm just bouncing ideas off you guys. Tell me if you have anymore ideas!
