And I do have a better picture, but I didn't draw the original base (which is basically what it is) and I can't find where I found him, so i don't want to intrude on any laws. >.<
Anyway, this is the original Tanzin I drew, who spurred me to begin writing his story.

wink Name: Tanzin Barr
Lives in: Bruva, Thevel. Thevel is a fairly large, very isolated valley situated right next to a sea; with it's southern shore the only way out. The (can't seem to remember the collective word) mountains in the north, Herja, Derga, Minka and Ligar, block any travel that way. Its population consists entirely of animals of every kind; from Antelope to Hippos, and from Jaguar to Zebra
Personality: Well he's got guts. And a rather persuasive charm that could tempt the birds from the trees, were they not on the ground with him already.
He has the looks to go with it, though that doesn't really help with the male gender.
He has a compassion that the rest of the thieves would retch at, seeing as though he
is technically on the side of criminals, being a thief and all.
He has no conscience, yet in a way, he cares too much.
Think of a furry Aladdin, if it helps.
History: His father, possibly one of the greatest thieves ever known in Thevel, but was murdered just before Tanzin was born; the work of his father's partner in crime (but not love), Boura.
A sly magician, Boura had tricked Tarquin (tanzin's father) out of handling their profits for quite a while, but finally she was discovered, and after a vicious fight, "accidentally" murdered him. She promptly fled from the town.
Tanzin was born into the world without problem, but had to to learn to fend for himself at a young age, seeing as though his mother wasn't exactly work material; she was still partially grieving for her lost husband, and was becoming ill.
Soon she died, leaving Tanzin alone in the world.
And so, Tanzin tought himself to deal with the pain in the only way he knew how;
picking fights with the other thieves (and in doing so gainging many enemies), charming the ladies, and stealing in the most elaborate of ways.
