I was watching "Thank You For Smoking" for the first time and the teacher of Nick Naylor's (The main character.) son asked that question, which brings up a lot of questions in my mind, and it gave me a good idea for a debate topic.
Answer one or all of these questions:
Why is America the best country in the world?
Why is it not?
What makes the best country?
What is the best country so far?
And why?
I'll let one of you start tis one since my views are a huge mixture. (I'll be able to argue with and agree with almost all of you!)

america was a good country when we were fighting for our freedom to be our own country. but as time progressed we dont look back and realize we are doing the same thing now that people were trying to do to us. the english tried to force their ways on us and we fought back. now in a way we are trying to force our ways on iraq and other middle eastern countries. why should we do that? there is really no point in it. every culture and country is different and we should all respect that.

Personally, I dont think America is the best country. I say this because there is too much war and conflict.
I think the best country is a country that is well accomplished and stands for good things. With great motives of the best interest of moving forward.
America does move forward. But i fall half way between this debate. It is a great country with many accomplishments. But the war to me makes a big difference.

America has may faults with in it's society that make everyone think that it is a superior in the world, Many other countries has the same privileges , freedoms etc, some even have more than the USA. It has had it's accomplishment in the past but alas I don't think it's the greatest and best. Honestly no country really fits that description, where there is good in an country there is also just as much bad.

Why is America the best country in the world? It has a government, that is "suppost" to be the best, but there are faults in it, when someone wrong is hired.
Why is it not? Our president is a retard that doesn't know how to run a country, and making a mess of it, it doesn't focus on WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE, it focuses on other countries when we are falling apart and we are in a TON of debt.
What makes the best country? I really don't know.
What is the best country so far? There isn't really a best counrty, because all of them have some sort of problem, but I like Japan.
