Its present day, the forces of both Heaven and Hell prepare themselves for the up comming war. Neither nowing when the rebirth of Christ and the birth of the Anti-Christ will be. All that either side knows is that there has been an abnormally large amount of fallen angel's appearing on earth.
The even stranger thing is that almost all Fallen have been to a local book store called Enigma Void. One could never miss the owner, a rather young man with raven black hair to his chin and cool steel grey eyes.
With the war drawing nearer and the forces of heaven Falling to earth, both sides are tying to bring the Fallen to their side. But the Fallen have a plan of their own, they like Earth and wont allow the war between Heaven and Hell to wip out Earth.

In another part of the city a lone woman peers out over the edge of the roof tops. Her ebony wings fluttered with the breeze before resting around her. The city was unusualy quiet, she brushed a dark tress away from her face and tucked it behind her ear. With a sigh she pulled the wings into her back, leaving two strange cresent scars on her back. Turning around she walked to the roof door and let herself in, there was a trench coat hanging just on the other side of the door. Taking it she deftly put it on and made her way down the steps to the city streets and dissapeared into the crowd.
Comming to a stop infront of a bookstore called Enigma Void, she went inside walking past a young student who was working at the counter. Though a vague 'hi' was called out to her from the youth she continued on without a word. Finding a secluded spot she sat down her coat flaring as she plopped down. Staring up at the ceiling she stared at the antique chandellier that was one of many in the store.
"So how is the fallen this evening?" came a male voice.
"Do you always have to call me that?" she replied tiredly.
He chuckled before sitting in the chair next to her, "From time to time, what is it this time?"
"You should already know the answer to that one, you've had far more time to get used to Earth then I have." she was tired and irritated, she had only been on Earth for a few weeks and it was already wearing on her.
"Thats true, but you have a better chance of being welcomed back then I do."
"I highly doubt that, my views are not what they wish for an angel to have." She sighed leaning her head on the arm of the chair she was sitting on. She half expected him to say more, but only found a hand softly caressing her hair before she fell asleep.

When she had fallen asleep he rose from his spot and drapped a throw blanket over her. No matter how long ago it was he could still remeber when he had been banished from heaven's realm. He sighed and ran his fingers through his raven tresses, a chime could be heard in the front of the store. Tolling the hour, with one last glance he walked to the front where his worker had already finished closing the store and was waiting to be let out to go home.
"Been a long day" He called out to the youth startling him, he smiled slightly and nodded towards the door. "Go home and get some sleep."
Letting him out he finished locking the door and pulling the cage screen behind the doors and locking that as well. With all the front lights out the backlighting gave the store an sureal look, venturing to the back he checked in on his sleeping guest. She was still sleeping, curled in the chair with her head resting on the arm. Gently he picked her up and head for the loft, going through an archway and up the stairwell. He was glad he had put a futon up there as well, there had been many Fallen stopping by and it was bothering him a bit. He never once sent any word out that his store was a haven, nor did he advertise that his place was information central. Yet they always came here, Maybe it has to do with your birth right came the thought, he clenched his jaw for a moment then realize he had tightened his grip on her. relaxing it, he laid her on the bed and tucked her in taking her coat and boots off as well. Taking an exra pillow and blanket he made his way over to the futon and stripped to his boxers. Laying down he stared at the ceiling hoping that tomorrow would be peaceful, closing his eyes he turned on his side, the back lighting dimmed and the store was completely dark.

Her face scrutched in her sleep as she twisted about till she sat up. Her eyes adjusted to the nearly pitch black loft, pulling the blanket off her she swung her legs to touch the floor. Running her fingers through her hair she stood, her bare feet padding softly as she made her way past the futon. Pausing she looked over, he was spralled out on the futon the blanket thrown off the bed and his pillow clutched in his arm. Chuckling softly she pulled the blanket back over him and continued to the stairs that lead to the roof. Once the cool night air rushed over her she felt better, "The night seems to be my only comfert in this world" she mused aloud.

Guess this is the place. Maybe I should come back when they're open... No fun in that, though... through it. That's how it appeared to anyone who might have seen it. The truth was both more complex and infinitely simple. A Void Walker trademark.>

Shivering she felt a strange chill down her spin, rubbing her arms she turned and head back inside. Padding back through the loft she felt another presence, curious she made her way into the store. As she could make out the front with the help of the street lights shining through the front windows, there she noticed the figure and leaned on one of the bookshelves still partially shadowed. "Its rather rude to enter without knocking first"

"Stupid Deven, making me work. Pffff, making me deliever these stupid things while he is on vacation." he muttered, killing his bike's engine. He let the bike rest against the building, fixing his clothes and complaining all the while. Running his hands through his dirty blonde hair he checked the pack the was hugging his back. Ripping open the bag he studied the books, "Good; still dry."
He sprinted towards the back door, water dripping from every direction and threatening to harm his hard earned cargo. He stood beneath the eaves and glanced around, trying to peer through the windows but to no avail. "Come on.....where is the little ********> Muttering beneath his breath he pounded against the door. "Hey, open up. Let me in. God damnit. Come on man, its Brahm; your brother told you I'd be by."
Brahm's cries were only met by silence. He scowled and quickly began to fish through his pockets. After a moment of looking he pulled out his 'tools.' "I may not have a key but I'll get in there one way or another."

"I wouldn't suggest doing that, Brahm. Deven just replaced those locks before he went out." His words seemed to have been spoke into Brahm's ear yet, he stood a foot behind him. His black hair mused from sleep a pair of loose pants on and his shirt unbutton, he stood untouched by the rain. He couldn't help but smile as the man jumped at his voice.

Brahm felt a chill run through his body as he heard the voice. His eye twitched as he glanced over his shoulder. Brahm narrowed his eyes and frowned. "How long have you been standing there?"
"Long enough."
Brahm shrugged off his pack and tossed it towards him. "Here ya go. I believe thats everything Deven wants. Don't know why it couldn't wait until morning though."
"These are special books. It took awhile for Deven to get these up here."
Brahm cocked an eyebrow, pocketing his devices. "Whatcha gonna do with 'em?"
"You, my little demon, will be putting these on the shelves."
"WHAT? This late at night?"

"Of course"
He pushed Brahm through the door, thinking he would hit Brahm cried out startled, chuckling he followed after.
"You know you really are a b*****d Aiden"
"No more then you, now the empty shelf is down that way on the right" He pointed down the hallway, dim lights lit the way. "As soon as your done, you can leave, unless you'd like to meet with the Void"
Brahm paled slightly shaking his head and made his way towards the back to put the books away, his grumbling starting up again when he thought Aiden couldn't hear him. Shaking his head Aiden made his way towards his new fallen and the Void.

Well, I'd heard of this place and wanted to check it out. Besides the excellent selection in texts, the clientele is very interesting. You have no idea what I am, do you?
