First of all an explanation of our ranks (I chose military ranking simply because Gaia chose to call guild owners and co-owners Captain and Vice Captain, so I ran with it):
[Captain] - My responsibilities are all-encompassing, I maintain the order for members and crew. I should only be approached with minor issues or disputes when no other escalation path exists.
[Vice Captain] - Second in Command, although pretty much the same as a Captain.
[Sergeant] - Sergeants are normal moderators, but they have a little more responsibility. They are responsible for a specific Realm, and should be considered the owner(s) of their particular Realm. A Sergeant should only be contacted when no Privates are present.
[Private] - Privates have the same permissions as a Sergeant, but not as much responsibility. They are mainly in place to help out higher level crew members, and usually limited to a particular Realm. Privates are your first step in reporting any kind of trouble in the guild, regardless if it takes place in an in-character (IC) or out-of-character (OOC) forum. If they cannot resolve the issue for you, they are responsible for escalating it up their chain of command until it gets to someone who can.

[Captain] - Anything that is without a doubt a clear Gaia ToS violation should be reported immediately to your Captain. Failure to do so could impact us all negatively!
Most other issues will be handled by a lower rank whenever possible to help your Captain concentrate on making the guild more enjoyable for everyone.

Remember - When reporting anything other than a ToS violation, start at the lowest rank possible! This will help the higher ranked crew members have more time for creating content and fun for all. biggrin
