When I first start a game, I like to steal the Sword of Woe from a guard tower in Balmora. I think it's a really nice sword when you're just starting. Of course, once you get better stuff, it's rather pointless... >.>

Okay for one of these steals you need to be in the mages guild. First one, if you do the Kajhait(sorry can't remeber her name) guest you get another quest. The second one or third is to replace a soul gem for a fake one. While there you can grab the really expensive soul gems she is working on. Second, if you go to Caldera Guild of Mages, you can go up into the tower(make sure you shut the door) and there are master alchmist things there.

You need to be a REALLY good thief to do it, but I always enjoy cleaning out all the high value items in the house vaults in Vivec. You can get things like full ebony armor, full glass armor, really good weapons, etc. The hardest vault is the telvanni vault because you have to get past two storm atronauts in a ridiculously closed in space, but it's all worth it.

Don't forget the more practical problem: you can't just go right back out. And A good thing for that is two rings of shadow weave and an exclusive potion of shadow. Hard to see you then. I think it accumulates, cause I rmemember having like, 30% chaeleon(of course, I had max sneak AND Helseth's collar, so in truth me sneak was 110).

Sometimes the shopkeeps like that Khaijit in Balmora that sells the Demon wepons,leave his wepon where u can easily steal it.Heh there's also a lady(forgot location)where u jack her stuff and doesnt give u a bounty she just says stuff.Ald'Ruhn has those guard towers with boldmold armor and u can sell them to the Creeper or Mudcrab merchant

You can get things like full ebony armor, full glass armor, really good weapons, etc. The hardest vault is the telvanni vault because you have to get past two storm atronauts in a ridiculously closed in space, but it's all worth it. i found a simple way to do that, kill an ordinator beforehand, and take a piece of armor, when you enter the vault room and put it on, then the ordinators attack you. Once there dead take the keys off their bodies and go steal, that's how i did it.

This i guess counts In Balmora there is the razor hole wich has a closet filled with caymores swords and i think an axe there are two ways to do this the first wich is very simple kill the shopkeeper and the guard get the key from shopkeeper's dead body OR the second way get on the stares next to the door use telakanises with lockpick or use a spell like andusis open go inside close the door steal everything hope that they didnt see you and leave step 2 go to Aid'rhun go to that underground part find the sword shop sell everything you stole kill the shopkeeper and take the Foeburner and Pluma trap I think its called. Step 3 go to the Mages guild find the Enchanter and Enchant the Foeburner,the Pluma trap is already enchanted with poisen, how ever you like recomended poisen and/or fire damage.You now have yourself a pretty snappy sword congrats. Now could someone tell me where to get good armor?

good steals? eh one was getting past those vaults in vivec (fun blaugh ) i never knew their was a vault in that one place with the attronachos. Oh did you guys know their is this samurai looking guy in the mountains past a river in the east section of morrowind? He has a good sword and good armor. biggrin Um yea i have killed Amalexia before you have too in the story line biggrin i have broken into the place where vivec is (yes the saint) and i have broken into places where their they say are treasure. I have a usual 110 sneak with that helseth collar (nice collar) i have made a 100% 100% chameleon spell for 19 sec blaugh so i can steal stuff and get away with it biggrin and i have a 20sec paralyze dagger (i dont remember where i got it) and can you make a 100 unlock permanent effect on a sword?

I know it might be considered stealing, but since I have the PC version complete with the Construction Set, I always make my own enchanted items, including an amulet I call the Amulet of Lady Tia (all my specialty items are named after my friends) which has Chameleon 100%, Feather 100%, and Fortify Luck 30. What's funny about Chameleon 100% is that people do notice that their stuff is being stolen, but the don't do anything about it.

don't know if anybody's realised, but if you wanna launder (get rid of the 'stolen' code on the item, the piece of code that tells the guards to take it away from you), go to anyone in the thieves guild and you can sell stolen items to them I think. make sure you buy it back though cause after 24 hours (or next cash reset), it disappears. Obviously this has limitations on X-box (for those still playing on such archaic systems) bacause you can't hack and simply tell the console to give so-and-so x amount of gold if you've got an expensive item you need to sell (though you could barter it down, but it costs more), but other than that works for both systems and isn't really cheating (if there was something you needed to launder but wanted to keep, you'd be able to get your buddies in the thieves guild to help out in RL. razz
Greflon Horthas - Your Frendly Neighbourhood Skirmisher/pilferer, bending the rules but not breaking them (and if I'm breaking them, sure as hell not getting caught) since late 1990 (when I made the file).
edit - the talking mudcrab and screecher! that's who you can sell stolen stuff too as well. though I did wish that stealing stuff got some sort of rep bonus in the thieves guild.
