look to the Western sky... Hey! I'm a little confuzzled on the end of this book...I'm gonna put the question in white text for anyone who hasn't read the book yet. Spoilers suck! scream
->Ok, in the end, Candle's baby turned out green. Does this mean that Elphaba was reborn, or does it just prove that Liir was Elphie's son? Or is it both?
Also, where did Candle go?<-

yes he is, cause his baby is green and i figured since the nuns sent her away with him, which they wouldnt do unless the y had to.
I cant remember, but i think she just ran away, or mabey it's becaue she was attacked??

look to the Western sky... That's what I thought. I mean, as the reader, you can sort of tell through the book, but I wasn't quite sure since Liir was questioning it so much.
Okies. I'm still a little hazy on how she was pregnant at all...but I guess they'll tell us in the third book...either that or I'm missing something else. :Sweat:

That's all weird cause it's like the relationship between Elphaba's mom and dad and Turtleheart.
Elphaba and Liir's baby being green could be like a family curse. 'Cause Elphie's dad and Liir are both bi.
Candle got pregnant when she was trying to keep him warm when he was in a coma. It said he was mad 'cause he was unconscious his first time.

Yes, im pretty sure she got pregnant keeping Lirr warm
i don't think that the baby is elphaba being reborn though. It seems throughout the first two books, it's about the reality of things (YES I KNOW IT'S FANTASY BUT WORK WITH ME) That's sort of why the books were written in the first place. back in the 30s-40s you got all the books that were happy-go-lucky, now youve got the truth kinda thing. i don't think that reincarnation comes into play with Oz's reality though

anyways , i think that it just proved that liir was elphies son....and for the person earlier who couldnt remeber the name of the other guy...wasnt it Trism or something like that?
