Yes. Build your dexterity, finger strength is important when you play bass. Also, you may want to try straightening your truss rod and lowering your action. A bent neck or strings too high up can make it harder to finger lower notes.

Hammer-ons. I mean, form one fret to the next is easy, but my hands are small i cant do any more than the next one. Eg CAN DO
G-------6h7------- D------------------ A------------------ E-------------------
CAN'T DO (Like in Tainted Love) G----------------- D----------------- A----1h3--------- E-----------------

Vanilla Condoms Hammer-ons. I mean, form one fret to the next is easy, but my hands are small i cant do any more than the next one. Eg CAN DOG-------6h7------- D------------------ A------------------ E------------------- CAN'T DO(Like in Tainted Love) G----------------- D----------------- A----1h3--------- E----------------- All i can say to that is just build up your finger strength. When i first started, it was hard for me to go multiple frets per hammer on, too. Stretching at all can be difficult at first. Try doing this: starting on 1, go up 1 fret at a time, going 1 finger per fret, until you have put your pinky on the 4th fret. then just do it the next string up. once you reach the G string, move your pinky up to the 5th fret and go straight down. Once you reach the bottom on E again, move your index up, repeat, etc. Then, going index to third then middle to pinky, go up the frets, so you'll be starting on E going 1-3-2-4. do the same thing you did with the other excercise. Try different sequences of fingers, you'll build your dexterity in time. If you want a real workout, try playing along with the solo section of Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin. That's a murderer without practice, but it'll build those muscles in your hand.

Tapping, Just Getting into it.
had the hang of it for about a week now, i use the Meaty Hook thing, i saw a video and went from there, then i saw Wooten and hes got 8 finger tapping happening, and i dont want to be limited to the Meaty Hook thing, so are there any excersizes i could do to improve my Right hand Dexterity with the my index to ring finger?
My Bass teacher is gonna try and help me along but the more exersizes i do for it the better.
and i think bass tapping is extremely cool and showy offy, which i like

I think that was the first thing my dad ever taught me... but that was... repetative... I started listening to ppl like stu hamm and I was totally blown away by the tapping technique... so now I strive to tap like that... and you're quite welcome biggrin

ZacTheOneAndOnly wow thanks alot dude, just form that tonight i've added my middle finger into tapping, and i got new ideas for my solo thanks heaps man again, no problem! Also, try adding your ring finger too... it gives you more to work with... It may be a little harder to do if you don't pick with three fingers though. I wouldnt really know because I play with three... and I dont know how you play... but try to add that third finger in... it will add so much more to your technique! I havent even tried to delve into the realm of the pinky yet ^.^ but Ive seen buckethead do it... and Wooten... so Im going to start working on that....

Try stroking up AND down. when on the downbeat, stroke downward, and hit the string on an upstroke immediatley afterward. This is also a good way to keep time, kind of a metronome if you keep it repetative. For a good excercise in keeping time and utilizing proper picking technique, check out the first bass line in Yes's Siberian Khatru. Chris Squire is a madman, and this major progression is one of the best one I know. If you're feeling bold, try to get the whole song. I was playing it after a year, but I didn't get it perfect until six months later.
