Well...we have a support thread...a driver identification thread...a best times thread...why not a progress thread as well? If there are still Version 2 players out there, feel free to start a Version 2 progress thread. Other than that...
Tonight was a night of battling. I didn't get to do much TAing tonight...battles were plentiful.
It started off with me battling against my friend's 8V on Akagi DH Dry. I was passed on the first turn (I took the wrong line) and pretty much stayed behind the entire way...oh well, gotta take the losses with the wins.
I did a few more races on LOTS to boost up my points and then decided to transfer my Spirit-R from Version 2 over. Man...I'm really liking the Spirit-R now! It's way more stable than it was in Version 2! Anyway, I did a few battles with it...I battled against another guy who just transferred his own Spirit-R over on Akagi and won, a guy who had just bought a Spirit-R on Akagi and won, and a guy who had just bought an FD Type-R on both Akagi and Iro and won. And after those battles, I played against my 8V friend and beat him on Happo In Dry.
I then took my Evo IV back out and did some more racing with it. After that, I was challenged by the FD Type-R to Akina Snow DH. Not anything really big to worry about...I ended up winning that one. After that, my friend with the 8V agreed to a race on Irohazaka, seeing that we had to get one of those out of the way. Of course, I ended up winning. So, we took it to Happo Out...unlike the last time I raced him, where I fudged up the snake hairpins and got passed, I stayed in front the entire time and won.
Then, my other friend, who's ranked as our arcade's #1 player, decided that enough was enough and he had to stop me from winning. So, he whipped out his own 8V and took me to Shomaru Out. I won on that one. Next was Happo In. I won that one too. And then he finally beat me on Tsuchisaka (my 2nd worst course). I had said that once I lose/don't get challenged, I'm going home, because I need the rest. And so, I finally left.
And the turnout of that night? My Spirit-R is almost basic tuned from the few races that it got, and my Evo IV is not only 525K but three battle levels up...we're at level 8 now.

So far I am content with my Akagi times (2'33 UH and 2'29 DH). They will be improved but now I want to work on Akina. I am currently running a 3'22 UH and a horrid 3'13 DH. Going to start working on both tomorrow.
I am running a new FC now. Silver Option A, with a 50 percent win ratio (won 2 lost 2). Still driving the 180 but its only going to get attention when I feel burned out on my FC. As for my R-32? After the tourny, I have decided to part ways with that tank. It now affirms my hate for AWDs (except for the Buntamobile)

don't hate the AWD, they run more power to the wheels than most FRs...
anyways....it's easier for you guys to boost your diver and battle levels, when there is actually someone good to race!!!!!...damn being one of the best poeople and only at level 8 sucks...but it's fun....
actually, i seem to analyze what is going on, but can't really do it on the course..guess i get nervous

Besides...there are guys here who have like...battle level 15 8Vs and what not. I've taken stock cars (like my Spirit-R, when I first transferred it), and beaten guys with high levels and what not. There's only one way to find out how good your opponent is: race him when he/she isn't messing around.

I've seen guys give up races so that their buddies get massive RL and BL. It's funny tho since you see a BL:24, then smoke him like there's no tomorrow. Me and my buddy Brian race each other regularly but we NEVER let the other win. If you wanna win, you gotta fight for it. 3nodding
