Decided to start up my own log about my equestrian classes and what not. I do not own any horses myself, but I work with them and (by incredible insane luck) got free equestrian classes. I'm growing more and more fond of them, and hope to one day perhaps be even able to race or something. Would be fun! whee
Every thursday I go visit the barn after school. There's a whole bunch of horses, there, sometimes some come and leave. There's China, James, Teico, Beatrice (Though I call her Miss B, her being a fancy show horse and all. ), Snickers, Silver, Lola, and my personal favorit named Kal.
Anyways, in this log though it's not -just- going to be about horses, but about horse riders as well. I have a feeling this'll turn out to be interesting. wink

It has been a few weeks since I have worked with the rescued horses at the barn. Most of the horses either had abused pasts, or no one else could take them in; so they mostly ended up where I work now. I hope that one day I would be able to perhaps have my own farm where I would raises horses too, or other animals of the sort. It would be dream come true~
But for now, I'm living five minutes away from downtown city. It would be a true miracle if I ever get a farm around here, or even my own appartment! It's a popular place to live, so the prices of simple one room appartments can sometimes almost be freakin' thousands! It's amazing I even live here.
~Sigh~ So as things are, it seems that once I decided to get out of the house and into the big world out there, I might need to get out of my home city. At least I have some good time left to prepare; I don't plan to move right away. Maybe in two or three years from now, four at the most.
Of course, that's when I heard of him.
An old friend from a certain roleplay game named Daine spontaniously contacted me a few weeks ago. She told me about a certain cousin of her's that she apparently thinks would be "the perfect match" for me. I was like "Eh? What the heck are you talking about Daine?....You didn't get into the sugar cubes again did you?" xd
So after a while she told me everything she could about this guy. Some guy who's seven-freakin'-feet tall, eighteen, black WAIST-LENGTH black hair, pale, and purple eyes. Apparently he has pointed ears too, making her cousin call him "Dark Link" from the Zelda games. Irish accent, and a complet gentlemen who blushes easier then a priest in a whore house as Daine put it.
Get this though, apparently, he had inherited a horse farm in Ireland to top it off.
He breeds them, raises them, RACES them, and so much more! I thought it was just some crazy prank Daine was pulling on me, it sounded too nice, too awesome! No way could some completly-sexy-sounding elf-boy with a ranch and everything exist.
And even if he did exist, why would he be interested in a simple, frail city girl like me? I'm a tramp, a mere Alley Cat living off of whatever I can get! It would be like the lady and the tramp with the gender roles reversed! Ah~ If only...

Another thursday, another horse day.
Today's weather was pretty grey, occasional rain, but overall bearable. I visited the barn and hung out with the horses and trainers for a while. Eventually we took out Teico, a large black thoroughbred female with a habit of "kissing" people by wiggling her lip against them. Funny girl. xd
Since spring is coming and winter has gone, the horses have been shedding easily, and were really quite itchy. I just spent most of my time scratching and massaging all over Teico, which she enjoyed immensely. We then went for a walk together down a road; I was guiding her using a lead-rope... But occasionally had to foot-ball style shove her away from irresistible grass on the sides of the very muddy roads. All in all, we had a good time. mrgreen
And, I have news of the mysterious Elf-boy whom owns his own ranch. Daine brought him onto a roleplay game which I play daily online. There, we quickly became friends and had a general good laugh and such. It's been a few weeks since we have been hanging out on the game and what not, and every day Daine -still- hints or demands that we "Go breed and make little elf-nieces" xd Crazy girl.
Still, admitedly... I have a feeling me and him will have some good times ahead. I mean, HE OWNS HIS OWN RANCH! He's a prince, a shy gentlemen!....Well, okay, a freakin' seven feet tall gentlemen. Good lord he'll tower over me. sweatdrop
But nowadays, he is staying at Daine's house to help her out some, for she had broken her leg in an accident, and her husband was away for a week or more for important work. Such a sweetheart he is, if occasionally annoyingly proper. xd Quite a contrast to my "In your face" way of things.
But then, Daine tells me of some big news. eek She's helping him gather up enough money to pay him a weekend visit over to my home town. Daine told me that if he doesn't manage though, he'll most likely apologize to me a million times, and most likely even cry. xd ;; Poor guy.
So yeah, I'm psyched. Hope it works out! rofl

another day, another bunch of events.
Today I've been doing nothing but draw all day almost. I didn't even know what I was drawing, but during it... I realized that all I really want is to have freedom, and to live in some funny shaped house out in nature with loads of various animals. Horses, chickens, a cat, a parrot, etc. Oh if only...
As for news onthe elf boy rancher; well, the news is more about Daine.
She got in an accident.
She -already- had a broken knee to begin with that was still in a cast, but apparently fate decided it wasn't enough. She fell back from a tall section of stairs and was knocked right out. Apparently there was blood too, it was horrid! Elf-Boy and Daine's husband were constantly trying to help her out or figure out a way to revive her from her unconscious state. I did too, even though I was far away. The doctors said there was a chance she might die...
But then me and elfboy both prayed and all, and thirty minutes later she revived! mrgreen Complainning about food! We were all overjoyed, it was too close for comfort. Elfboy gave me Daine's cell number so I could call her at the hospital, though I wasn't too good with long distance numbers...
So guess what; wrong phone number, and when the person answered the first thing I shouted out was "DAINE STOP DIEING ON ME!" xd it was hilarious. 'course Daine finally called me and etc.
I'm glad that's over with and we're all alright.

Disapointment.
Today I can't go to the horse ranch for one reason or another. One of the girls, the one who drives me there and works there, can't bring me there tonight. I wonder what's keeping her busy?
No news on Elf-boy.

I'm thinking about using my bike more often; I have yet to fully learn to use it admitedly. I'm hoping to be able to get to the point where I could bike all the long way to the ranch where the horses are. I could hopefully volonteer there! I do hope I will be able to, I want to learn as much as I can on the farm life and horse caretaking. Who knows, I could get a job in there one day maybe...
Elfboy's been absent, though to be honest there was another boy who I liked before him, but who is currently halfway accross the world from me. He was my first "true love" before he moved, so when he did after a while I was needing someone new to have as my own. He's been able to get back online though, and I have to say my heart still leaps high for him.
Looks like elfboy has competition.
Here's how it is:
ElfBoy: Handsome, Skilled, owns his own ranch, intelligent, gentlemen and proper. In short, owns and does everything I want to do in my dream life. downside; irritatingly shy and proper at times, far away
Tenyo (first love): Funny, charming, playful, excitting, incredibly intelligent, open minded and isn't affraid to confront problems downside; regularly absent, sometimes months at a time due to his career
Oh how I wish things will work out in the end.

Things are going mah way now! biggrin
So apparently I will be able to bike out to the horse ranch where I have the equestrian classes during the weekend, or any day really. It's fine with them. Also, due to me joining up with a writer's group on thursdays, my classes have been moved to fridays.
I do hope I will be able to volonteer to help care for the horses.

I went to the ranch last night again. I found out that a few of the horses apparently have horse lice, especially this one young horse named Lola. Poor thing! Luckilly the horse owner got this powder thing from the animal vet to help clear it up. When I arrived though and they wanted to show me the problem, they couldn't find any on the horses anymore. xd I have magical healing effects! We gave Lola a good brushing which she really enjoyed; after all, she was itchy everywhere before.
Apparently volonteering for the horses is perfect according to the horse owner. I can get there whenever I want and can help out with things. perhaps learn a bunch too, yay!

HEE!! Today was AWESOME!!
I got on Teico's back and rode her today. We went out to the field, and the instructor teached me how to trot with her on my own! It was -awesome-. mrgreen I absolutely love it. The air was fresh and sweet, there was a pleasant breeze, and I could take in deep breaths without my lungs hurting from strain or anything! I looooooove it!
I, am so going to live on a farm one day. Hell yeah.

In the last session I learned how to ride a walking and trotting horse on my own. It's awesome!! I can't wait until I do running. blaugh But, of course my butt's sore as hell. I'll need to fix that. sweatdrop
My dad finally got me a bike. I'm hoping to learn to ride it properly soon and get strong enough to ride my bike right up to the ranch. THEN I'll have some real fun.
The country life's really for me. At this moment I have a cold. When I was in the car I could barely talk, but once I rode on the horses and all, I completely forgot I even had a cold! The country air does miracles to me. I can so breathe the difference between city and country air.
Teico's been acting funny today. Usually she's a tad grumpy or stubborn, but today she was really gentle and watching everyone with perked ears and soft eyes. o_O It was strange to see her so.. friendly. xd We thought something was wrong with her, ha! She became her normal self though once we went riding.
I am so living on a farm one day, no questions asked.

Today was a great sunny day. Everything outside was in bloom! It was great. ^.^ I went and learned about the basics of grooming a horse. Snickers was shedding an ocean of fur, it was insane. xd He needed a good brushing, badly. It took the whole session and afterwards the grass was covered in brown fur! You could make a carpet!!
This summer I'll be volunteering for the petting zoo. mrgreen Awesome.

I babysitted baby chicks last time I went to the ranch, adorable! One was black and the other white, and slightly larger. It followed the black one everywhere though, the black one was really the brave, outgoing type! They were fun to herd around. 3nodding
I told one of the barn owners about interspecies animal telepathic communication, something I'm learning to do. Turns out I have a talent with it.
