Coming this winter is the new openSUSE 10.3, so fair SuSE is still pushing forward in there fight to make a faster better OS. This time they are adding more features, making both major and minor changes, and maybe including two KDE versons, KDE 3.5.x and KDE 4 pre. They are also speeding up boot time with this release, and adding more features for laptops including a low power kernel, will shut off any unused systems and devices in your laptop until it is needed.

Some details about it can be found here

It looks really nice and it sounds they will try to do a really owsm Distro but we will see what will come out. They always say that they will do something great and at on end they do 98% out of all it is still Owsm but they live 2% for next relise that we are more eager to get the new one razz and that is good to.

I might virtualize the alpha for testing fun... course coding is nice too ^^. but the funny thing is, those screenshots are just a skinned grub, something that can be done with a few images and some coding.

Yes, they where one of the first things the opensuse developers worked on is how grub will look under 10.3. Screenshots of the OS won't come out until they are ready to release it
