Well it's artsy. I think people who like chick prog would like them, even if they're not technically prog.

they started as a gothic rock band in the netherlands, and they are now a gothic pop band over the whole world. (roadrunner record made them play more pop so they got more fans). there is nothing progressive about them 3nodding

Can't deny that their earlier stuff was pretty rockin' though. Not really proggy, but very Metal.

Enter, The Dance, and some stuff on Mother Earth... thats good stuff.
The Silent Force was kinda meh, and I haven't heard their latest.

But yeah, um, I don't really know of any of these other bands mentioned, so w/e.

just heared their first stuff, that was metal idd 3nodding
but that never became famous.
about their new stuff: they got a male vocal now and play more ot the pop side, kinda like evanacance (or how do you write it?).

@Beixuelong: like what bands from japan?

Hmmh.. Ars Nova (doesn't have vocals though, just chicks playing wink ) and Teru's Symphonia are a few that comes to mind. But be warned, especially with the latter that there's a lot of folkish Japanese influence there and it is not 'easy' to listen to.

i kinda like the folk music from japan.
they have that weird snare instrument 3nodding

that why i like the japanese band "heavensdust" (they have females too).
heavensdust plays half metal half folk.

i try to check them out as soon as possible smile

Atrox
To-Mera (beware, okay/mediocre vocalist)
Lunacy Box

And more recent After Forever stuff gets very power/proggy at times.
