Do you like to read books assigned by a teacher?
Usually I do, there are some books that I just couldn't read and some that I really liked.
For example To Kill a Mockingbird, I really liked that one.
Anyone else like or dislike the books assigned in school?

We had to read Animal Farm recently and I HATED that book. It is soo depressing. Last year we did read a good book. It was The Outsiders and I really enjoyed it....

I had to read the outsiders too! It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! Normally I don't like class assigned reading though!!

My evil little snob of an english teacher had us read Fahrenheit 451. and Great Expectations back to back. and I didn't even finish one! I have no tolerance for classics. But luckily enough I passed that unit with a high B >.<

We had to read Animal Farm and To Kill A Mockingbird at our school too. I liked To Kill A Mockingbird but not so much Animal Farm. I kept falling asleep reading that book. I don't usually like ones that our teachers assign for us. I don't know it's just I'm more into the scary books and they never assign them.

A few friends of mine have to read to books over the summer. One is an all time fav. of mine, And Then There Were None by Agitha Christy. She thought it was a bit of a disappointment but that's her loss.
